You don't understand dude. It is about getting in nuts and bolts. Economy keeps people alive. If you want to replace it with something else, you will have to account for almost all the basic items.
Food, Water (public utility), Electricity (public utility), Health care (Public utility for a lot of poor folks).
What you don't want is a scenario where you are holding a plastic card which is not working. I have seen that up and close. Went to Singapore and my cards were not working. It was not fun... one single bit. And it was just an error. If government wants to shutdown a means of payment, well it will be really really really hard for the guy holding that.
Smuggler black economy does not scale exactly for this reason. It will be shut down by the government.
Does your electric company (most likely owned by government) will accept western union? Nope!
Does your trains (most likely owned by government) accept? Nope!
Does your public school (most likely owned by government) accept that? Nope!
Does your public hospital (most likely owned by government) accept that? Nope!
Does your public transport (most likely owned by government) accept that? Nope!
Also, what if the government bans internet? Like India is doing in Kashmir? Will all these digital bank account work? Nope!
And where they will get identifications in Nepal? Banking institutions require local addresses and identification. Try opening an account without SIN in Canada or SSN in USA. It will be really hard.
Fair point but economically it is ideal for them to have their own currency but its not possible, so they are tied into the indina Union ecnonmy by force... they cango ff grid and lmiit participation.
