I was in Surrey this April during their grand food and procession celebration. I usually have to roll with Poonjabees due to my business. There are quite a few different kinds of Sikh nation demands. Sikh politics in Canada is tied to their individual temples and its "steering committees". Almost all of them want India to punish those who did 1984 massacre. Some demand a Sikh heartland in India. Some actually want a Sikh nation to be carved out of Pakistan and India. None want to leave Canada and go to India. Almost all want dual citizenship of India and Canada.

Most of this Khalistan demands remain with few youngins and some old timers. The majority of community called them 'Pendoo' or something similar.
