IITs are not able to do better in these ranking because of the methodology used. They give high weightage to international faculty, international exposure, international students and most importantly research papers published. IITs lag behind in such useless parameters.

IITs are not full fledged universities, subject wise ranking would tell that they easily figure in top 10.

Anyway, People joining IITs don't care about these rankings, what they care about is their placement after graduation and in terms of placements some IITs can easily figure in top 5 technical institutes of the world

No one cares about biased international ranks when Students of IITs earn in crores...something which Pakistani students can only wet dream about...oh by the way, Pakistani do have campus placement programs with likes of ISIS, Al-qaeda, etc recruiting in huge numbers
