India-US nuclear deal signed!

Calm down buddy i just liked your thinking

I am calm. It's very frustrating to make a comment without any personal prejudice but the entire Indian community starts to racially / ethnic profile you based on their likings. And the message in the post is totally ignored!!! If I needed to know who I am, I'd just see a mirror. It'd be nice for folks from India to engage in meaningful debate, vs. just personal name calling and profiling.

@Horus , @WebMaster , could we please make a rule that when discussing or debating, personal name calling, references to ethnicity or race should be banned? We have hundreds of pages worth of posts, where a discussion is sent to hell by questioning one person's race, ethnicity and color of skin, vs. really answering the content.

Pakistan should be protesting this. We have no foreign policy at all. Lets not forget the US refused us a similar deal despite us showing interest in it and now a deal with an enemy nation. US is a country of backstabbers, they backstabbed Vietnam, Afghanistan and Pakistan and are still continuing.

We should focus more on dams and renewable energy, for nuclear - China's cooperation is enough to fulfill our nuclear needs.

@Chinese-Dragon

I never said your Kafir. By definition a Kafir is a non-believer in Islam. That would make both me and you Kafir. I am a Sikh, but my ancestors were Buddhists. Buddhism was destroyed in South Asian during the Islamic invasions.

What a stupid moron you are. You will never see this close relationship between another religion and Budhism if people call China an athiest country still no issue. And you will never see this deep understanding between Islamic country and Athiest Country(Or whatever ) . China has been important to Islam since Muhammad's (S.A.W) time .

So what you said is just a hatred towards muslims and china . You cannot get over the fact that Pakistan and China excellent relationship. Pakistan stood with China when China needed and China stood with Pakistan when Pakistan needed.

Future of Pak-China is together ..... Long Live PAK-CHINA

In short India-US re-signed 7 years old deal?
No, not at all. Since 2008 the US-India civil nuclear deal has not been able to bring about a single US power plant deal whilst France and Russia have raked up many. This is because of a nuclear liability law passed by parliament after the civli nuclear deal was signed with the US, I shan't bore you with the details but the US side effectively refused to do business with India on the nuclear power front because they found these laws unfair and restrictive. Now after all these years the US side has agreed to accept the law to a certain degree with certain safe guards being in place and thus the deal can now actually pay off and US nuclear power giants will start operating in India.

India mended her laws to accommodate US concerns, this mending could have done years ago as well.

India hasn't done anything of the sort. The US government has said it won't take this matter any further and has said US firms are free to operate in the Indian market now as they wish whereas for the past so many years the USG has said they won't allow US firms to operate in the Indian market until India changes her laws.

The US is the one bending to accommodate India's concerns.

Two things impeding the deal.
1) India purchasing fissile material from the US will be tracked by US personnel time to time on its usage so that it doesn't get used for weapons - this I believe has been retreated by the US or so the news says.

2) Liability in the case of an accident like hiroshima - the US nuclear firms weren't ready to take liability of it as their law says that the operator - which in this case will be Indian firm - has to take the liability, while India was adamant on the liability bit. Now this has been circumvented. In India, the maximum large scale insurance claim in case of a accident is fixed at 1500 crores excluding personal damage claims. What they have done is agreed to have an insurance pool where the nuclear firms deposit monies to the tune of 750 million USD as back up for a disaster and this pool will be used in case of an accident.

Any source to prove your claim? Indo-US nuclear deal: Why is Modi pursuing what looks like a total loss in N-energy?

What moronic verbal diarrhea is this?

Pakistan is prepared to go to war for China to support the one China policy. Both countries share same strategic aims and do not have ego problem which Indians do with their constant proxy terrorism meddling in other countries.
And here comes the Chinese cheerleader again. I have been seeing your post for last 6 to 7 days. Man you are more pro Chinese than the Chinese themselves, it seems if you have power you would sell Pakistan to China without thinking twice.:lol::enjoy::enjoy: shame on you

If India mended laws, we would all be aware of it before Obama visited India.

It was not amending the law. More of loophole in law. But, as you know, it takes 15 years to legally pass something and 2 years to have a 1 lac crore scam.

If India mended laws, we would all be aware of it before Obama visited India.

He is talking about the setup of a liability fund. It is not mandated by law. But a provisioning mechanism is being created.
