here is thing , because of well established ( fact not flame) record of govt of china embellishing , fudging stats on any information that is detrimental to its " image" ( see its cover up of SARs / earthquake as latest fact not flame ). One has no clue what the real stats or situation is in China. Again, as I said in the past- Chinese coming in here to preach about another country giving stats as proof is nothing short of them being hilariously hypocritical.

I'd like to find one person who can dispute that claim. A simple google search will reveal it to be the bone chilling truth.

Haha, resorting to blogs now? Fact is, our economic progress can't be hidden. We can look at fake scientific articles as an indicator of honesty overall, and what do you know, Indian fraud rates are highest in the world. Our numbers have been confirmed by the CIA, the World Bank, the IMF, and the National Statistics Office has even issued several corrections when there were indeed wrong numbers - most of them UNDERSTATED our GDP growth.

India on the other hand is famous for fake everything - fake statistics, fake Shining India, fake science, fake pharmaceuticals, fake food... oh yes, poverty, water trucks, I won't troll and talk about toilets, but just know it's there.

I'm not a Wal-Mart fan, but what they do very well is in the distribution of vast amounts of food and goods in an extremely efficient manner without all of the skimming that goes on through a less-efficient process.

It is a mistake with mistranslating China's numbering system. We have this unit called 万 WAN which is 10^4 but frequently mistranslated as million (10^6). His assertion was 8 million americans (800*10^4) died in the great depression, which is accurate given the census figures of the time.

I said 8000000 Americans are starved to death, use the same calculation method.

I would debate that number as well, but this isn't the thread for it. If you google "Images of the Great Depression" you will see people out of work. What you won't see are the rail-thin outlines of starvation victims.
