What you posted depends on many factors. Mainly Human Development Index.

Ofcource Pakistanis spend more as their net income is lower than the average Indian. Pakistan has been stagnating as 'Low HDI nation'. We are Medium and increasing. China is already high, while west Europeans are very high. This map correlates with that data very well.

. . .
Pakistanis are better than Indians in everything which can not be proved or have no data to back it up :-)

A few examples :-

★ Their soldiers are much much more braver than Indians. You know why? Because bravery and cowardice are abstract qualities that can not be measured.. So, Pakistanis must be braver.

★ Their pilots are much more skilled than Indian pilots. You know why? Because skill is an abstract quality, which can not be measured.

★ Their men are much more handsome and women much more beautiful than Indians. You know why? Because beauty is an abstract quality, that can not be measured.

★ Their homes and their slums are much more cleaner than Indian ones. You know why? Because Aesthetics is an abstract quality, which can not be measured.

★ Their people are much more patriotic than Indians. You know why? Because patriotism, again, is an abstract quality, which can not be measured.

There are so many things that Pakistanis are better at, that I'll not be able to list them all even If wrote a 800-page book on it. After all, how can short, dark, baniya kafirs ever be better at anything than the tall, fair and pious momins....

Food in Europe costs more but tastes better.

Food in America is dirt cheap but also tastes like its dirt cheap

HDI may not be the best indicator in the developed world. Norway is the world leader in HDI, but people still spend an average 11% of their yearly income on food:

Sh*t's expensive around here:

Many formulae who tend to generalize global issues are rarely correct.

Kerala has similar HDI to Bahrain, but in terms of per capita income, crime etc there is simply no comparison.

This is what you get for 8 Euros in Finnish train. :partay::partay::partay:

Why is it that food in Norway costs so much?

Taxes and wages. Norway has high wages, and therefore high taxes. But that's only half the story. Norway sees itself as somewhat of a social laboratory, were the government tries to sway the country in a certain direction. Usually this means by keeping the country on the forefront of social progress, human rights and quality of life.

Take gasoline as an example of this. Despite being one of the world's largest oil (and gas) producers.

The government seeks to improve the quality of life by incentivizing people to keep their cars in the garage, and off the street. It does this by implementing brutal gas taxes. Norway has some of the world's highest gas prices:

The high cost of living isn't really a problem for Norwegians, we've high wage earnings - I make the equivalent of about 260,000 USD annually working as a control engineer/software developer for a defense contractor.

But for tourists, it's a problem.

Nope. I live in Germany, food costs much less here than in India. Except for fresh fruits which costs more as its imported.
I was comparing EU to America not India. Yep , Indian prices are too high...mostly due to lack of refrigerated trucks, food processing, middle men etc. all solve able with political will.

.
Damn I think Pakistan is one of the few nations in the world moving backwards. not only hunger, but illiteracy is also onthe rise in Pakistan. 2%YoY.
We should not care about Pakistan. If they overflow with food OR if they all suffer from malnutrition - it should be of no concern to us. We need to improve at a faster rate.

Wow, so you say prices in Europe is higher than US. But Indian food prices are further, higher than Europe. Damn we Indians are really being fcuked by our politicians.

Thats a very good model in Norway. A very strong social system is supported by such high taxes. I guess India will be like Noway in 500 years, maybe more lol.

Unfortunately true, Europeans pay more than Americans but get better quality food. Indians pay even more and then pick out stones and unmentionables from our dals. Thank you Indian political class.
