Whats the big ruckus about?

Its a mere naval excercise, no big deal

but mind you... now the Chinese have given us a free hand to conduct all the naval excercises we want in their backyard that were previously cancelled to accomodate Chinese sensitivities and move away from confrontation.

Indian enemies that can give us a challenge consist of China and maybe Pakistan to a certain extent...
But the Chinese should be vary of the fact that the they have been racking up enemies in the Pacific like hot cakes....this will just make the decision easier for India to move from the point of neutrality...

Hope the juice is worth the squeeze for China

You guys hurry to rope Japanese in to confront China, why Pakistan stands along to face 'supa powa' India. Pakistan will have decent navy in the future, at least India will be overrun in terms of conventional subs when PN Inducts 6 Yuan class AIP propelled subs from China.

India has consistently refused to join any military alliance ...

and is capable to take on China alone ....India's thrust to upgrade its forces , decision to weaponise nuclear arms , decision to develop Agni V were all part of this exercise to attain self sufficiency against China .

Dream of overrunning India ....will remain dream .



It is China who is scared of India and that's why trying to prop up countries like Pakistan... !!!

If China has capability to deal with India alone it wouldn't have had to take help of countries Pakistan ....

The PLA navy knows they cant do anything in IOR,, any base in pakistan sri lanka or even bangladesh will be rendered useless ,, and that wont even require indian navy., lolz it can be taken care by indian army alone ,, indian ocean is dominated by the US navy and indian navy with india having assets all across the west and eastern parts ,, china can always do touch and go but nothing more,, they can provide all the weapons and training to pakistan but they cant change the parity now,, this article says India is monitoring the situation,, so we are just watching but it doesnt require any actions from us,, we may need to act if the chinese deploy anything worth., hell they didnt even provide the subs that pakistanis been asking ,, so much for higher than mountain and deeper than ocean friends

PLAN has no control over IOR. IOR is controlled by the USN. Any nation's navy operate with permission from the USN. The same goes with Western Pacific, mediterranean and every where else.

I guess when such 'exercise are happening at close quarters - the arabian sea here any country in india's place would want to keep a track of it.... Especially when the participants have fought wars with them.

Last time it was the chinese fishermen who informed the PLAN that one of their submarine was floating in the ocean with all the sailors dead . And here we have the chinese bragging about giving beatdown to others ......

We must build military bases in countries we have good relations in South Asia like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Maldives. Really need to keep the pressure on the Indian bully and protect our friends and allies in the region. We have established the economic, financial, political and diplomatic components of our South Asian strategy but now we must establish the military component of our South Asian strategy. This must include building military bases, military exercises, selling weapons and transfer of technology. We need to help our friends and allies in the region and keep them safe from Indian thuggery and warmongering.
