Why don't India link with China via rail route ? It will be great boost for trade.
Bangladesh is nervous about trading with India because of the anti-Hindu politics done by different political parties in Bangladesh. Anyway, China and Bangladesh railway line is still light year away to materialize.
Sadly China is also very much involved in that bullying neighbour, Myanmar. It has invested too much in Myanmar to tilt towards Bangladesh. It will be interesting to see how China manages the bully Myanmar and the bullied Bangladesh.
Pakistan should concentrate on the ECO link by converting its track to standard guage. Afgahnistan should also use Standard guage tracks. Investment on South Asian broad gauge track will be a waste.

The "proposed" part is Kabul-Peshawar rail link.
the rest from Peshawar to Pak-Ind border
then Pak-Ind border to Ind-BD border rail is there already.

It is possible , keeping in view the extensive real estate Pakistan Railways have. In my view they should privatize railways on the basis of open accesses system. Pakistan Railway should retain the track, control of traffic and stations. Private sector should operate trains and give fee to PR.Do you think this is possible when Railways don't have funds even for basic things like buying engines.
Well Indian!!!!! rail freight is already going on with Iran and Turkey. But I know u guys are afraid of this land, no wonder it is called Hindoo KushEven if Kashmir issue is resolved,no chance of this happening.

well thats what we Pakistani's also want.. To stabilize the region and let every body live and grow..India needs to understand how much useful Pakistan can be for her by providing rail,road links and pipelines from Iran and central asia republics which will let india boost its economy in a real fast way ...And the only obstacle in b/w the india today and a real developed nation is the Kashmir so why not just resolve that issue as per kashmiries desires and move forward?
Pakistan can make india progress real fast and will give her a lot more in terms of cheap energy .

India and Bangladesh should also upgrade its rail track to International standard guage system. Pakistan is already connected with India and India with Bangladesh. Iran is connected with Pakistan and Turkey. So it won't be any difficult to have Dhaka access with UK

China and Bangladesh railway can be light year away or god speed to materialize all depend on how the gorverment set the priorities. Kuming is a South West China hub, it's China interest to extend the rail connection to BD.
That is not true, I know this is what has been stated by many Pakistanis but Railways have doubled its tracked and converted all narrow into Broad. I am not in favour of broad, not for Pakistan not even for India. It is actually blocking these country connection with outside world.In Last 65 years Pakistan could not add even a single km of railway line. And abandoned few thousands of km of narrow gauge, meter gauge and broad gauge tracks. Do you really think Pakistan can do such a massive task. Look at the map of abandoned railway lines in the map.
We are already there beyond Hindukush doing business in Afghanistan.
Chittagong to Dhaka and Dhaka to Kolkata already exists!
The whole route is actually there.....just a matter of Indo-Pak understanding now
