Actually China is interested in rail connectivity with India through Myanmar, part of Trans-Asian Railways. All others you mentioned are just pipe-dreams will take decades to materialize.

China is only interested in a rail and road link to CAR's and iran and possibly a pipeline as well through gilgit-baltistan and peshawar....And the feasibility study has already been conducted...the deadlock is just to be finished once US vacate afganistan...I dont see any need or wish from china for a link with india yeah they will make a road link to myanmar along with the pipeline which is already completed.

how about Kabul-Pakistan-China (via Xinjiang-Tibet)-Nepal, then China-Myanmar-BD( Chittagong)

We have Tibet rail ready and plan to extend to Nepal.. so won't be too challenge to connect Kabul to Chittagong ...oops no connection to India

West China is thinly populated that's why they built pipeline through Myanmar. Pak-China rail link is still a proposal stage. Yes, Chinese are interested in rail link with India through Myanmar.

We are constructing Railway in Kashmir with our own money, not like Pakistan looking for China to come and build the entire railway line till China border, same like Bangladesh.

Don't know about China but between India and Myanmar there is mere 300km of missing railway link, so it don't seems like a pipedream. China will connect itself to Myanmar till Kyaukphyu in few years, Thailand with Myanmar and the missing link is complete for us.

What I read, such project will need some 200km of tunnel digging through the rough mountains of Himalayas, it will be indeed a very expensive project for China. That's why China preferred Kyaukphyu(Myanmar) over Gwadar.

china is a huge country with a lots of potential and they were able to grow their eastern side only upto now and the whole western china is in bad need of growth..The link from myanmar will provide some energy needs but the western china needs much bigger supply of gas and crude plus a shortest exit for its exports which will be through gwadar only(17 days less than from normal shangai or ningbo route to euorpe)...200 km you are talkin is bullshit we already have a road link all we need is to build a rail link along with that by creating man -made support and thats not that expensive considering the trillions of dollars of trade that would follow...I know you are a cutter hindu n hate everything about Pak but i believe we all are humans and anyday any small thing can strike us n let us think in new dimensions thats why I always try to be patient with indians and try to enlighten them with whatever I have in my hand....

Well said, once peace and stability reign in this region, it will be a golden age for China/Pakistan/Afghnistan and central Asia countries...all are connected with rail/road silk road.

China majority population lives in Eastern part, so Myanmar is more better option for China.
