The statement you guys keep on leaching is regarding Mig21 definately if there was Rafale piloted by Abhinandan there was no need to chase Paf F16 going inside Pakistan controlled territory.

IAF succesfully targetted Targets inside Pakistani mainland crossed LOC and despite high alert Paf fighters were no where to seen no challenge this is not signs of highly professional and trained airforce like you guys keep on posting man in machine.

Now see the stark difference despite being outnumbered Iaf planes gave chase to F16 strike packages inside pakistani controlled territory. A Mig21 down is no loss for India.

No, cheetah and chetak are not replaced. They are flying now.

Deal with Russia to replace them with KA-226 is stalled.

Sea King used in Marine assault role is not replaced in IN.

Likely but thr are plenty of variables that might be a roadblock for these orders.

But Rafale F4s will be an awesome additions to IAF capabilities as Rafale carries more weapon load and flies longer range than a heavy fighter like MKI and has much better active and passive sensor suits and weapon package specially new capabilities of F4 version.

2 squadrons of this can easily be accomodated on both existing Rafale home bases in Ambala and Hashimara so might not be same per unit cost like 1st orders of F3R Rafales.

That doesn't harm much , it will still get us to 3 trillion and follow on order will cost much less , that 8billion figure include mid aur refueler , and helicopter .

If the order is for rafale alone ,it would be near 4 billion or less
