Perhaps but then again perhaps not.

IAC1 & IAC2 are being built in India and INS Vikramaditya is in Sea Trials. Either way, India's going to have Aircraft Carriers whether you like it or not.

PS: Was this the "bait" you were talking about?

No I think Incredible India should have incredibly big ships maybe a dozen or so.

. . . .
The Sovremenny class will go to the junkyard in the end of this decade.

Now China even refuses to update the electronics for these ships.

That wasn't what he asked though was it? China bought ships from Russia up until 2006, doesn't matter if they decide to decommission it tomorrow.

^^^India's ambition to become a global hub for warship building has hit the rock
Ah! Hafizzz as usual trying to find gremlins where there are none!

Are you aware that though the Indian Navy is the 4th largest in the world, there is an urgent requirement for additional war ships and submarines to be included in the fleet by 2022 as per the perspective plan? By 2022, the IN plans to have a 160-plus ship navy, including three aircraft carriers, 60 major combatants, including submarines and close to 400 aircraft of different types. This will be a formidable three dimensional force with satellite surveillance and networking to provide force multiplication.

No country has the capacity/capability to produce so many ships and submarines single-handed including aircraft carriers within such a short time.

Now Hafizzz bhai, do you get the point? India has not 'hit the rock' as you suggest!! Ooops! Now rock reminds me that I gotta go hit the bar for a whiskey on the rocks!

Cheers!
