According to the Sri Lanka Business Online website lankabusinessonline 7 月 1 reported that, according to Indian media reports, Sri Lanka SOLAS Marine Inc. has won $ 67 million value of the Indian Navy intercepted the boat purchase large orders quickly.
"India Times" reported that the largest single purchase involves 80 interceptor boats quickly, will be delivered in three years. Each ship fast interceptor boat capable of carrying 5-7 crew members on board is equipped with light machine guns, speed of 40-50 knots.
Reported that these boats will be deployed quickly to intercept the Indian Navy a new team, the port and naval assets to protect against armed attacks. Indian Navy has moved from the French Atlantic Naval Shipyard (Chantier Naval Couach) purchased 15 boats similar to the intercept.
