India test fires hypersonic missile.

This poses a very serious security threat to Pakistan. With an unstable Modi at the helm, such vehicle armed with nukes gives very short reaction time to Pakistan.

On bold part, I don't think so. Russian and US have not even provided Indians ToT for Jet engines, ScramJet tech. is altogether a different ball-game.

Besides, I think we should give credit to their achievement (hyper sonic). It could be based on Russian or anyone else's tech model but that has been always the case. Human learn and evolve..... even US/Russian learnt Jet tech from Nazis, China copied (reverse engineered to be docile) Russian tech etc etc.
i don't think so Russia is helping jet engine for MKI (AL-31FU) French helping their KAVERI project to be completed, and may be USA/Russia helping non critical tech/non sensitive ScramJet to India @Adonis

Help can be of various types. Neither of them are helping us developing fully functional jet engines. French are just carrying out tests on what we develop and identify the shortcomings. They arent helping us in rectifying them.

Reaction is not possible to this... And India won't need Scramjet for Pakistan and you have no need of scram jet for your deterrent doctrine. Subs or more missiles will solve your problem... Brahmos and Prithvi provide enough coverage of the western theater from Indian missile PoV and Subs and Agni provide a clear second launch capability as well.. This one is fully dedicated to peaceful uses and ofcourse to our northeastern neighbors

By that logic you haven't yet developed it so are y"all wiping your posturates in leaf now?.

Wht a stupid analogy.

Shows your inept intellect, when it comes to your country's track record. If it wasn't for the Russians, india would still be scraping and lumbering to attain cryogenic engine technology.

It's funny how indians put their fragile ego at stake, and would not admit to simple things even if their life depended on it. Same goes for their GDP calculations, which the West says is inaccurate and were alarmed at how indians calculate their economic progress.

Don't worry when the time will come it will be used to destroy there own assets like we see the destruction of Mi-17 and may be the An-32 was also destruct by them....

@Surya 1 USA/Russia have been working/resarching scramjet tech since 80s only Russian recently inducted zircon missile into their arsenal, if scramjet tech is that easy to research/work then USA/Russia had scramjet vehicle in late 80s or mid 90s, may be USA/Russia is helping you to research and develop scramjet vehicle
Indian project exists from 90s. Ever heard of Prithvi & QBM Shaurya?

Modi is very stable. Here to stay till 2026-27. It's you who are unstable. We never know when your general overthrows your PM to assume power.

His and Indians' vision is much broader than you. Our policies don't spin around one country. You are an aspect for us, that even because you have nukes.
Shows your inept intellect, when it comes to your country's track record.
Our track record has been relatively simple. We took more than 10 years for making a ballistic missile but delivered ICBM in 3 years. We stuck with attempts making advanced plane for 38 years but now have designed and on verge of producing an equivalent of F-16 & J-10 in 2-3 years.

We tried to master orbital launch tech for 2 decades. We developed a credible one and polishing it every year. We were sanctioned and denied cryogenic tech. After so many failures, we got our own. Seriously, do you even know how much India charges to launch SATs as compared to west? Leaking techs to India is suicide.

We have a big R&D budget, test infrastructure and manpower. We initially studied foreign systems off course coz you can't make an aircraft just by seing it if you don't have any early experience.

Questions are actually for whatever little youe country has because it never bothered for its R&D, doesn't have required industrial base or infrastructure.
And no matter what how much Pakistanis try to downplay India here, India produces 90 out of 94 existing missile technologies compared to 94 each of US & Russia and 92 of China compared to just 39 of Pakistan.

Indian projects that are succeeding today have been in labs for decades. From high altitude ABM to ASAT to hypersonic weapons.

There is rather a section of western & Indian journalists who "assert" that India is fudging data.

Indian economy is largely undocumented and actually much bigger than it's current official size. Indian government just started to document shell companies in order to collect taxes from tax evaders and IPR holders. It resulted in their coverage & growth and forced formalization of various other sectors. India's real economy is already much bigger.
It's not data fudging but greater financial coverage.
If Indian economy was in shambles, India's Fores reserves wouldn't have jumped to $421 billions from $250 billions, annual budget wouldn't have doubled from ₹6.3 lakh crores to ₹11.8 lakh crores, India wouldn't have been decade's biggest gainer in human development index, wouldn't have brought down poverty ratio from 17% to 3%, wouldn't have moved 52 ranks in ease of doing business or wouldn't have taken its foreign aid from $11 billions to $28 billions! Share of manufactured goods in India's export kitty has increased from 9% to 20%. And unlike you, we don't have to beg to other countries for money. We are a net donor of aid and extend credit line to other countries.

Those intelligent journos suggested indicators like slowdown of consumptions of things like automotives and low profit situation of companies & weakening stocks as indicators.
They never bother to study that if automotive sale growth has slowed down in India, its running negative in China because populations are saturating, buying enough of these items. Indian stock markets have inflated and greatly sored between 2014-16 in hopes for tax exemption from Modi. It didn't come. So, correction is going on.

Less than 15% of Indian companies are registered in stock and less than 4% represent Indian stocks. So, they got little to do with Indian economy.

We worked, we failed, we learnt, we tried again and we succeeded. Same goes with our long term economic plans. You didn't do anything and are just putting insults rather than talking about getting rid of mess you have made up in your country.

I am not talking about BM tech but SramJet tech @Indx-techs :hitwall::hitwall::crazy::crazy:

Contrary to what a lot of you think hypersonics is a very very sensitive technology and no one shares it. It is much more sensitive than nukes now.
with due all respect if ScramJet tech is that easy and USA/Russia had researching/developing since 80s then USA/Russia had ScramJet Vehicle in late 80 or mid 90s and Russia recently induct their first hypersonic weapons, so how it possible that India will induct hypersonic vehicle within 5 -6 years as some indian member claims, and tell me how this possible, is India have better aviation industry then USA/RUSSIA/China/EU @amardeep mishra

Even Indian scramjet project started in early 2000s have been tested earlier in 2016. The concern is to make an HGV.

Aviation industry of India of 2019 has a better technological base than those back in decades. There is no logic "why India will make it in a short time".

We are not setting new goals and parameters, we are just claiming what others did. Got it with rest of world.

then how it possible that USA/Russia researching/developing ScramJet tech since 80 and this research still not finished and India has to takes 15 year to research/develop and test ScramJet Vehicle, do you have a aviation industry better then USA/Russia @Indx-techs

And their (USA/Russia/China) aviation industries are siting idle since 80s, what a retard logic you have @Indx-techs

Long range ballistic missiles travel at hyper-sonic velocities......they have existed militarily since the 50's. Not sure what all the hype is about.

1. Indian Project isn't finished yet. It's just a base in development for future HGVs and advanced AAMs. 2. Scramjet project of India is at least 2 decades old. 3. Doing it in shorter time than US, Russia & China requiring better aviation industry is faulty argument.

US, Russia & China defined the project and made innovation. Once they did it, we got to know what we had to do.

We don't need them to sit idle to catch up. As technology advances, leveling up becomes slow and there is a room for new players like India to patch up some gap.

Achieving hypersonic speed isn't an achievement but cruising is. HGVs are different beasts than cruise missiles as well. They are mounted on a missile to achieve high altitude and desired velocity and get ignited when inlet air is at supersonic speed. Google search American project "Prompt Global Strike".

And HGV is highly maneuverable. Unlike some zig zag maneuvers of RVs, these glide vehicles can perform well defined maneuvers in 3D space.

The HGV are so shaped that they generate wave lift. Compression lift. You know HGV ride on shock waves. Like the XB-70.
So a HGV can cover much more distance than a RV ever can.

Shaurya can execute maneuvers like a HGV. A hypersonic cruise missile like HSTDV can attain speeds of upto Mach 8. Whereas HGV fly at speeds anywhere between M20 to M24.

It was just additional feather in cap. As Indian economy surpasses that of UK, Germany & Japan to claim third place after USA & China, all sectors including R&D, military and space will follow to keep synergy and uniformity with India's relative position.

India’s maiden hypersonic technical demonstrator vehicle flops
Catchy headline as usual. Indian MoD & DRDO declared mission a success, Indian defence analaysts termed it a partial success. While now this, calls it flop.

The modified Agni-1 booster on which it was mounted had underperformed and didn't give desired altitude. Rest all parameters were successful from separation of HSTDV to it's gliding. In no way, HSTDV flopped.

However, these test show that we aren't getting spoonfed unlike some other countries. They have little to show against us but unreasonably highly inflated egos.
