India Summons Pakistan’s Envoy After Border Attack

NEW DELHI: India summoned Pakistan’s envoy in New Delhi Wednesday to protest what she said was the killing of two soldiers and the reported beheading of one of them in a border attack.

The two Indian soldiers died after a firefight erupted in disputed Kashmir around noon Tuesday, according to the Indian army.

Promising that New Delhi’s response would be “proportionate”, Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid said late Tuesday that senior government and military officials would decide on Wednesday a course of action over the “ghastly” incident.

In a first step, his ministry summoned Pakistani’s High Commissioner (ambassador) Salman Bashir to lodge a complaint about the clash, which has dealt a blow to peace efforts between the neighbours.

“The Pakistan envoy has been summoned to meet with the Foreign Secretary,” ministry spokesman Syed Akbaruddin told AFP.

Indian authorities claimed the body of one of the soldiers was “badly mutilated”, while newspapers and a military source speaking to AFP indicated that he had been decapitated.

The bodies of both men have been brought to an army hospital in Rajouri in northern India where a post-mortem will confirm the extent of their injuries.

Well, what India's political Establishment always does is to 'summon' Pakistani envoys and forward protest notes by the dozen! Which needless to say, will be thrown into the nearest wastepaper basket by Salman Bashir and Co (who's pretty active in the hi-fi party circuits in Delhi!)

And then it's business as usual.......Until the next incident! And another protest note - which goes into the trash can again.....and...Oh well, you get the point!

Well I guess its good for the Indian establishment to realize what its like when someone beyond your borders attacks people within your borders. India has a long and distinguished tradition of sponsoring Tamil terrorism in Sri Lanka, by arming, training and funding the LTTE, with the resultant loss of thousands of lives in the island.

Indian Government at it's business. This is what this congressman know just to summon and raise a protest.
Just to make a fool of country they are doing this so that vote doesn't go in BJP's favor.
