Was wondering about claim by quite a few guys here that FATF has no standing. We don’t care if FATF keeps us in black or grey list. It had no impact whatsoever on us. We show two fingers blah blah blah. All these claims were made when one country continued to remain in the grey list some time back.

If FATF was so useless, how come it would impact India badly?

It’s disheartening to see that FATF has no standing in your assessment.

What you are failing to understand that a nation of 220 million do not need external actors to convince them. Only state institutions have sway over public opion. You are pinning your hope on the outcomes related to external entities is not good for your well being.

FATF evaluation is not restricted to identifying any ongoing violation but violations taken place during an earlier period as well as potential future violations due to weak financial regulations. Hence presuming that it is India that is hindrance to peace in Afganistan seems faulty. If India has done something in Afganistan then it should come out clearly. Moreover, Pakistan seems to have all the evidence regarding that. Why not hand that over to FATF if it is really an evidence and not hearsay?

If India comes out clean then it would be an endorsement of it’s past, present as well as the near future. Pakistan’s pointing fingers doesn’t have much value in this.

From Pakistan point of view, if India keep on sponsoring terrorism, keep on terror financing activities inside Pakistan during this period, that would be highly reckless.

As I said, the time period is very important, when we will be seeing American withdrawal from Afghanistan. Pakistan major concern has always been India using Afghan soil to spread terrorism in Pakistan.

Every country out there is to comply with moves to curb Terror financing. India complied with FATF conditions long back. If India is funding terror activity in Pakistan, there is nothing FATF inspection can do to stop that, because we are not being scrutinized for terror financing and FATF is not enforcing any actions, The name itself is 'mutual evaluations' are not the same you are subjected to.

Keep on living in fools paradise . And if you have not noticed, its Indian media which is making noise about it, whereas Pakistani media has ignored this development.

Fact is I have proven that FATF doing mutual evaluation of India was public news and knowledge, far before any Pakistani wrote a letter to FATF (Oct 2020).
