The United Nations Security Council has added Pakistan-based terrorist group and four of its leaders to the list of entities and organizations known to support al Qaeda and the Taliban. The declaration came the same day that Pakistani officials said they would act against the Jamaat-ud-Dawa if the United Nations declared it a terrorist group as part of Resolution 1267, which also known as the al Qaeda and Taliban Sanctions Committee.

The Security Council listed Jamaat-ud-Dawa as an alias of the proscribed Lashkar-e-Taiba terror group. India and the United States have said Lashkar-e-Taiba was behind last month's three-day terror siege of Mumbai, India.

Hafiz Saeed has been listed as the leader of the Lashkar-e-Taiba. The UNSC also listed Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, Haji Mohammad Ashraf, and Mahmoud Mohammad Ahmed Bahaziq as senior members of the Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Lakhvi is listed as the terror group's chief of operations. Ashraf is the group's chief of finance. Bahaziq, a Saudi national who served as the leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Saudi Arabia, is a senior financier.

The UNSC also updated two groups already listed under Resolution 1267 as supporting Lashkar-e-Taiba. Al Akhtar Trust has been identified as financing Lashkar-e-Taiba. He is not a messiah for Pakistani people, and people aren't exactly lining up to listen to his views here. As long as there is no credible evidence against him (which India has failed to provide) he cannot be arrested. Even if he is arrested, he will never be extradited to India, because:
1-We don't have extradition treaty with India in effect
2-We would want to have the Samjhota Express bombers also arrested and extradited to Pakistan.

He's currently with the flood affected victims. Also his foundation is helping people. So he is a "MESSIAH" for those people not for you. Also, our country has provided enough evidence but it is your gov. which is ignoring it. They perhaps need more concrete evidence. Also, thousands of people flock his rallies wherever they are in Islamabad or Karachi etc. We will not swap the Samjhauta Express bombers unless the Pak. gov. arrests Hafiz Saeed. Atleast we've arrested the terrorists which your gov. hasn't.

don't know how to reply against your post as you're making things delicate.but Pakistan released him on 2009,after 5 years of house arrest.about attacking Pakistan by USA,don't get so optimistic.even though USA wil not mount frontal attack(if needed),but some minor rebuke is generally more than enough to make Pakistan fall at its place.we've seen this time and again.I do think that after US's withdrawal from Afghan War,situation is going to change significantly for Pakistan,and not for good.
