That won't be happening dude. We learn from our mistakes you know. The last time we gave in and accepted isolation, NSG was formed because WE INDIANS had tested the bomb but nothing happened when Chinese tested it before us.

This two-timing policy of Western countries has always gotten the best of us. Not any more. Unless first all major powers like USA, UK, Russia and China ban it, nope we're not going to no matter how much of morality we're teased with.

Our moral will get our country to extinction so we better lock it up and keep it in a safe. Practical defense is anyday better than high political correctness; don't call us shameful.. it was your friend the Dragon that taught us this and we appreciate them for having taught us this lesson of today's era.

karthik shame on us ok but come on you are the self called great nation!! why do you have to follow our footsteps & china's or the USA or UK for that matter show us the gandhi giri non hisa stuff!! be the LEADERS not followers after all you call yourself rising shinning progressing mother india don't you?:coffee:

The answer was in my post " IT was that so called non-violence" that caused 1962 and it was the same wake-up call that also caused 1971.

BTW I know wat ur coming at: there is a difference between maintaining one's own defence and interfering in another's affairs claiming to inflict a death thru 1000 cuts.

We r claiming to be great in the latter but we will not be in the former.

Oh comon ..we took the lead we signed No first Use policy with nukes ..such a great risk with the lives of indian population..but wat happened??did that change the hearts of the beasts around us? No.So there is no point making gestures infront of immoral ppl.

And as far as Ahimsa is considered Gandhi was quick to sense that it was impossible to beat the Brits with Guns,so Ahimsa was the tool for independence..See where we grew now..:rofl:we surpassed the british army with ahimsa...

signed the no first use policy then gave mic to general kapoor for moaning cold start war doctrine like zee tv news anchor.

waging a war just short of enemy nuclear threshold..ok let us make it clear for you..we dont have nuclear threshold...we will use it outright..that is our answer to turn cold start dead on arrival. :hang2:

The point as Sardar Patel said, Gandhi ji was a saint-like man while we are all ordinary men. He's capable of making sacrifices for conscience but we as a countr of ordinary men aren't. Therefore we ordinary men will plan and work as ordinary men so that we can make this country extra-ordinary.

And please, the British left India not because of Gandhi's non-violence but because they got hammered by Nazis in Europe and the efforts of scores of freedom fighters like Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Veer Savarkar, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Lala Lajpat Rai, Bipin Chandra Pal, Lachchit Bhurpakan etc. Had the WW2 not happened, Gandhi would have been shot dead and all his followers would have been slaughtered like Jalliawallah bagh massacre and all this ahimsa would have bit the dust.

We should give more credit to these people who gave up their lives for the country instead of seeking political glory. All of them were well off families but sacrificed themselves for the nation. We give too much preference to one man M.K Gandhi.

I wish our treat of Sikkim was signed in 1930s itself so that we could have joined the freedom cause as well. But it is better late than never.

I respect Gandhi as the father of nation figure, but I prefer the other names that I mentioned above as they didn't choose to remain on the safe side and talk and waste time and instead fought like lions against the imerials.

And you think you'd have a chance after that? Your government isn't as suicidal as youare, ready to put 180 million people in the path of extinction.

The future wars will all be very short and intense and short of nuke threshold.

We signed a piece of paper doesn't mean we'd honour it at the cost of 1 billion people.

^^^^^^^

I agree such bombs should not be used...However when there are nukes around why the hell are we talking about cluster bombs...Shouldn't UN first care about thousand and thousands of nukes before going after such ridiculous bombs???
Cluster bombs are being used, nukes aren't.

This is tricky, I personally think they shouldn't be used, I can't say how much of a military setback would this be though. The decision should be taken based upon the trade off you get with safety vs security

cmon somembozo.I have gone through your posts. You seemed to be a sensible person to me.Try to understand ,everybody is doing for what he is drawing his pay-cheque.A military general is supposed to make war doctrines and talk about it.Thats his job.The same is doing General Kayani. We have histories of enmity and war in the past.it only makes sense to make plannings for a crisis situation rather than being caught in the surprise.General Kapoor did that,General Kayani is doing the same, and so did the generals before them.We are better off as long as these hypothetical situations don't turn into reality.

And we should know better than talk about the nuclear option every time.I understand, and perhaps you too realize that if on some godforsaken day, the nuclear button gets pressed in the subcontinent then probably the grand children of some of the forum members here will tell stories of two countries named India and Pakistan, sitting in their caves or nuclear bunkers.

Its easy to say,"ohh fine,we will nuke you outright."But its easier said than done.Do you realize the consequences of the action???I know people sometimes get carried away in the heat of an argument, but lets not loose our senses over here.

Does india have any cluster bomb ???
