Cluster bombs are actually very effective. Lot of damage in Afghanistan and Iraq (in terms of enemy military infrastructure) has been done by the cluster bombs alone.

I think its because there are many cases of children picking up the cluster bomb ordnances and got killed/maimed. But like someone said unless everyone agrees to stop using them no single country will give them up first.

Anyway the US should set an example and sign the agreement first since its them who uses it the most.

You know if we wanted we could have used it, genius. Air force dropping thousands of cluster bombs would mean any terrorism would be crushed in days. But we prefer aligning people to our side through support.

Do u even know that none of the countries with a military worth mentioning have banned cluster munitions.?So y single out India.?

And yes we r better than the two countries u mentioned even if we dont ban cluster munitions.We dont proliferate nuclear weapons for money nor sell ballistic missiles to contain another country.

And shame on u pakistan,China,USA,UK for not banning cluster munitions.

Mind it, date is back in 2004 , so our Army posseses it much before 2008.
