Well.. if rules in 1940s don't apply anymore... then all this Plebiscite talk goes out of the window... you stay happy with whatever you have and we stay happy with whatever we have.. simple.

We in Pakistan didn't want to live with hindus so we separated and got Pakistan, the Kashmiris wanted the same but rather than allow this which eventually would of meant that the wounds of Partition could have healed and Pakistan and india moved on.

India chose to occupy a muslim majority state which shares the faith, culture and language of Northern Pakistan and create ongoing emnity and hatred and war


Kashmir is unfinished business of Partition,
Azaad Kashmir is part and parcel if Pakistan ruled by their own

Indian occupied kashmir is in turmoil, the indians cant attempt to bribe the kashmiris forever rhe hate they have for your occupation is apparent and obvious

So rather than give them a democratic choice indians are forcing themselves onto kashmiris like a rapist
With indians regularly calling for kashmirs culture and people to be violated to subdue them


India is a joke democracy
Give them a choice a peaceful way out

And here we have a Pakistani Muslim.. who hated Hindus so much that he decided to stay some 10000+ miles away from the land that was supposedly created for Muslims... By the way... there are more Hindus living in UK than in your own country.... how do you feel about that.

Beats me too. If 700000 troops are there, what is the army doing in rest of India? We had 05 corps sitting in desert last year at the same time .. I wonder where do those troops come from!!!!

If India is as democratic as it claims to be, why not pull out its troops and hold a referendum under UN supervision. because 700 000 troops in Kashmir, looks like an occupation.. nothing less and more so if there are bloodbaths very often..

@Joe Shearer You have quoted high figures for an infantry division .. but then will grant them to you as they are beefed up in XV corps due to terrain requirements. But not exceeding 20000 at 100% attendance at any given time, with leave states averaging 30-35% in routine, the figure goes down drastically. @hassamun tagging you since @Joe Shearer was giving you the figures.

His is higher on approximate figure, the figure of 23000 per division in Kashmir is high by 15-20% in the least but lets accept it for the argument's sake. Point to be noted is that 80% of the troops on orbat of XV corps are on LC and not in hinterland, so the actual number of troops in Kashmir valley proper reduces way further. The valley proper is dominated by RR and CAPFs with JKP. No regular units are involved in CI ops in valley's towns or cities. Extrapolate the figure he has given to you and use the same to reach a working figure.

700,000 troops in Kashmir itself will allow us to have a soldier in every house, bedroom and even on the bed!!!!

Nawaz Sharif should not interfere in India's Affairs. That being said the Rights of majority should not be infringed...

That's what Pakistan wants, cuz it knows the outcome already, and so did Indian. That's why they need half a million security force in Kashmir just to keep control of the area.

Does not matter.. a UN resolution is a resolution. First let them fulfill their owns.

Not true. UN resolution clearly says (though it does not remain valid), PA to vacate whole area of occupied Kashmir by pakistan including gilgit and baltistan. Hand it over to Indian government. then under UN observers, Indian government should maintain minimum security mostly comprising of local population. Once India is satisfied that condition is ripe and no external population is present, then it can agree to have referendum under its own constitution.

Interesting the tone has completely changed. The usual Pakistani bravado of we will liberate Kashmir by defeating India has come down to a mere, we hope India will simply handover Kashmir. Finally, the head of the country knows Pakistan simply cannot gain Kashmir by force or terrorism, it's only hope lies with a few Kashmiris it can support.
