India: Shanghai Electric supplying 40,000 MW power plant equipment to India

With no disrespects, while the Chinese are a people of money(business) but the Indians are a people of talks(politics). LOL.

So when these two come together, they do both.

I think it's best to leave politics aside, China currently Trades with everyone no questions.

It seems that's what the leaderships of both countries are doing. I believe they must reached some kind understandings in various political issues and set them aside and promote their common commercial interests.

After all at this stage of their economical developments, they both want to make sure nothing will come to harm on both of their economies.

well both countries are sharing borders and are growing rapidly and soon will have largest trade in asia. i believe leaving politics aside is the right way. other issues can be solved as trade improves and talks happen.

India has asked for China to open the closed links to Tibet that could be used to increase the trade near the indian border region, I have to agree.

you mean road or a train link? well both would save money.
it is predicted that indo china trade will touch 250 bill by 2020. india imports steel and china imports iron. a train freight route would do an amazing job over ships. saves time and money. china has freight corridors and india is currently building 10 billion dollar corridor throughout country for transporting heavy products quickly. these can be connected easily through nepal.

I'm aware of the train link China has one to Nepal, the current Trade is reaching the 100 billion point, but the closed roads are not the train links to nepal, but they were used for trade in the past, opening roads it would boost the trade on the poorer area's near the China-Indian border.

why we can't see you other than china and India related threads why????? What ever you are thinking, i would like to share my point.....i heared mostly Chinese industries will use Chinese labours engineers(in foriegn countries) ......less percentage of employ's will recruite from India. There are more disadvantages over advantages, our domestic Industries will be effected, our amount their growth....If we move for JV that can helpful to bring critical technologies to India. I didn't get your point. How shares in BHEL are bad????? It is a gud and reputed industry....does you have shares in BHEL??? He is praising their company and you are criticising our company for what??? I do like some independent attitudes instead of pro to some others.
SORRY MAN, you misunderstood my point, the investment that I made in BHEL has not yielded me profit, but has incured me heavy losses but on the other hand the Chinese friend here has invested in his countries company that has yield him profit and that is the reason he is praising his company and i am saying that my investment went bad.
will you be saying a company that has not yield you profit as a good company, i definetly will not.

you can find me every thread that involves INDIA and the rest of the world and its not restricted to INDIA - CHINA. Go to my profile and learn about me before you bring an aligation on me.

Its not good:

Because we have the technology and know how and also the manufacturing capacities.

For ur kind info Indian companies like L&T, Bharat Forge etc. have collaboration with GE, Hitachi, Alstom, Siemens etc.

And govt's company BHEL is one of the biggest power plant manufacturer in the world.
LOL!

My friend, I’m not questioning your your technology and knowhow, rather your deliverability.

You might have fantastic technologies and fabulous knowhow, but if you don’t delivery those goodies, you have to buy to meet your needs.

It is hard to see investments coming in when electricity is bereft in the country. A large part of India does not receive electricity. While in sub-Saharan Africa, about 70 percent of the population lack electricity, no country has more citizens living without power than India. And the recent ‘coal rush’ is not mitigating this problem.

The locals protested intensely, culminating to violent repressions and deaths, when the government decided to jump onto the bandwagon.

Face the fact and stop letting your citizens suffer further.

The chinese thing is not good because:

1. chinese quality

LOL! unless the consumers who embrace Chinese products and help the products to prevail in the world markets have lower quality, including vast Indian mass.

In fact don’t think consumers are fools. They are critical in choosing high value/price ratio. You might be able to cheat once by a low quality product. That is not your problem. If you have been cheated twice, you should start to think your elf. If you have been cheated over many decades by low quality products, that is your problem. Chinese “low quality” products have prevailed the world markets for 3-4 decades. The only explanation would be: the consumers are fools of even lower quality.

Life would be tough if there were no made-in-China today. It is proven.

2. In case of war they can switch on the virus to shut down and harm our grid

In fact no objections can be launched against this. Yet, if you have competent knowhow, as you have claimed, you should be able to know some important chips and software to perhaps have them replaced by the ones you trust.

3. chinese will earn from us and invest it to make weapons to harm us.

This is the key mindset of your type of people: afraid of competition. I guess this is perhaps one of the biggest differences between you and the Chinese who welcome competition in a gradually escalated fashion. That is why made-in-China is so popular all over the world.

Business is a win-win on both side of a transaction. I don’t believe India will not make money in this transaction, but only for the sake of China’s profit. In fact an energy hungry Indian market will yield hefty income for India, don’t tell us India can’t also use the profit to make weapon.

The species that are scared of, or can’t participate in, competition will be evolved out like dinosaurs.

Thanks for the sweet talk..but your support for Pakistan including its nuke program and your systematic meddling in our backyard speaks of something else.

As if you hadn't supported Dalai Lama who makes so many of his followers to burn themselves alive but himself.
