India: Shanghai Electric supplying 40,000 MW power plant equipment to India

The chinese thing is not good because:

1. chinese quality

That is 1990s thinking, back then Chinese goods were considered Cheap and unreliable, today they are considered cheap and efficient as long as you get from proper reputed company.

2. In case of war they can switch on the virus to shut down and harm our grid

They are supplying the equipment not building a SCADA network to monitor the grid, this is something India will do.

3. chinese will earn from us and invest it to make weapons to harm us.

by that logic why have any trade with them?

.
have we given up the claim on Aksai Chin, come on man, I thought you are good at international polictics and with that post you prove that you do not know anything.
we show the international media with Aksai Chin as part of INDIA and they inturn show AP as part of their land.

I want you look at the ground reality..whatever one show on the map, the reality is that Aksai Chin is with China and AP is with India..the same as the formula you suggested..but that didn't stop them from claiming AP also for themselves.

.
chinese quality   No body in the wolrd goes for chinese quality. People buys German or Japanese if they want quality :P and yes chinese stuff sells but the reason is not quality but the cheap price. :woot:

That's why today's products don't have any life. I have a Bajaj Instant water geyser its 18 year old till date it haven't got any fault its working like a new and another example is one of my airconditioner which i baught in 1996 its Made in India and still running without any problem.

While chinese stuff dies in a year or two at max.

It will be good if you research before opening ur mouth, just google study in USA about the danger of chinese power plants.

Why we improve anything????? why not china??????? they are doing anything and everything to harm us. String of pears, nukes to pak so that more an more Indian dies dirty death, anti India supports to maoists in Nepal, Sri Lanka, terriorists in NE and what not.

Its all because of the fools like you who are blind in hindi-chini bhai bhai.

And its not about your this particular post but i have studied you well you always supports china.

Because of ur type of people we lows down our defence and get back stabbed or humiliated.

that did not also stop us from claiming Aksai Chin. for a fight to end and peace prevail, some one has to first give up and why not INDIA, by the 1960's CHINA has built rail roads and everything in Aksai Chin, Nehru should have given that barren mountain to them instread of irating them and provoking them to fight us.

China sees themselves as the future super power and the leader of Asia and they know that India is the only country standing in their way for doing so. So they will do whatever they can to harm our interests, with or without Aksai Chin.

I can not comment on your perceptions, but I am a guy who creates a friend in an enemy if I wish or see that there is not point in maintaining the enemity/status quo and thats my speciality.

I don't know what happened to the Genious Mr Big Boss, When it comes to a rational and logical argument, these people just fly away like hypersonic jets.

.
Though importing from Chinese companies will help in meeting our energy requirements for the near future, but over a longer term perspective, we need to encourage and invest in Indian companies.

its simple to say the second part, but inorder of us to invest in INDIAN companise, they have to prove their worth against the Chinese or any other forigne company and as of now i see that not happening.

TBH Chinese companies do enjoy a cost advantage over Indian peers, so its natural for private players to go for Chinese machineries.

The REDS can never be our friends. They can't even be friends with USSR & Vietnam (both Communist Nations) so forget about India. They can only be allies (not friends) dictatorial or semi-dictatorial countries like Pakistan.

No offence dude, but you don't seem to extent the same generosity to Lankans.

.
I owned some stocks of Shanghai electric in 2010. And it seems this company supplied a lot of equipment to India since then. It is good to see that they set up a factory in India. This can provide jobs to Indian people and avoid the raising labor cost in China. And I am happy to see the stronger economic tie between China and India. Smart Chinese business men should pay attention to India market. And India local government may want to seek possible investment from China to promote local economy.
Again, common profits make friends. BRICS should work together

Ya just do not bring in the Lankan case here, they killed an entire race and you want me and other humans to just forget it. if you want to discus any thing related to this thread I am ready.
Don't try to fu#k up with me by making me loose my cool.

I own some stocks in BHEL and I see it as a bad investment.

I don't think China sees this way. The attitude of China is easy to explain. China is the most pratical country in the world, which is to say money rules all. China wants to work with other BRICS members, since we share common interests.

I hope India people stay alert to media and western infiltrators. Only developed countries don't want to see cooperation between India and China. They have already burried a lot of conflict seeds and let's don't water them.

China and India see this clearly. If there would be a war between China and India, no matter what the result is, both countries are losers and winner is US.

.
Well India will have a huge demand for power plants so this is a smart move as moving finished goods across the border by land or sea especially power plants is logistically challenging.
