You shouldn't be surprised. Professor Roustom (after whom Roustom was named) was a big advocate of the Long Easy type designs with heavy composites. Which is why his 1st namesake drone as well as several other aircraft being developed are basically based on that approach. You will see that a lot of Indian designs are heavily composite and 'non traditional' - like the LCRA, Roustom 1, Even SARAS with pusher props. Unconventional designs with great efficiency.

Saras, much to our surprise is a Russian Design. They just did not have enough funds to move ahead with it.

After the failure of Rustom i & ii India is quite desperate to have UCAV specially Pakistan active Buraq UCAV strikes send chill to thier back bones, first they beg Israel to have armed drone now they are asking from USA.
