India says relationship with Sri Lanka is very strong

The relationship between India & Sri Lanka is very strong and should not be characterized as usual, India said.

India's External Affairs Ministry Spokesman Syed Akbaruddin made this comment at the media briefing Thursday in "It is a very strong relationship, it is a very close relationship, and it is a relationship where India has worked with Sri Lanka for a variety of issues" the Spokesman said.

"So, let us not judge these things by the usual parameters of what you think is usual," he responded.

Official Spokesman described that the relationship with Sri Lanka is certainly unique and, therefore, India's interaction is also in a way is distinct.

"I think we should respect that distinctiveness and that is a distinctiveness that is reflected in our foreign policy and our approach towards Sri Lanka," the Spokesman added.

Denial..read history kiddo..India lost 1200 men and thousands of injured personnel...I wonder what significant role china played to defeat LTTE and why they didn't come then.hell SL even begged and got multiple radars from India.from SIPRI report,they got 4 Indra Radars and as many as 3 OPV as aid.

I wonder how many weapons China donated as aid.according to SIPRI,ZERO..Sri Lanka tried to buy CEIEC-408C radar but possibly went for Indra.all the other platforms came by hard cash.hell,even your Flag Ship is Indian Donated OPV.

All this could have been avoided had you guys not discriminated against the ethnic Tamils. I have recently been reading and watching some documentaries on your war against "Tamil terrorism", and I must say, as someone who was neutral to this before, your Govt and Army behaved like nothing short of mass-murderers. hehe, Sri Lanka wanted to have 3D radar system from Israel but India blocked it, then India provided their radar system.

lol what's that logic? We Sri Lankans don't care India vs China war or /with what ever country. Refueling facilities are available at Hambantota port and we here to provide those facilities to any ship from any country. why should we think about India and their enemies? It's not our issue dude!

I wonder how come India blocked an weapon system rom Israel,which is an ally,but didn't block scores of weapons from China???

plus,you guys don't use 2,but 4 Indra radars..and all of them came as AID...search SIPRI report and you'll know..

plus,about CETC radar(most probably),the status is not yet clear if they use them or not...
