India Says No To China Warning, India to co-operate with VN.

lol foreigners have to learn chinese because chinese ppl are not so good at learning English or other languages, you guys cannot even differentiate between "to" and "do" so its nightmare for others to converse with you. where as we Indians or the other ppl from subcontinent are quite good in English vocabulary. its just for business purpose they learn for their convenience and nothing else.

India has many languages and they have to choose one language to communicate with their own citizens, I have no idea how many percentage of Indians can speak fluent hindi or English. What I have seen is states use their local language and English in their sign boards ect. so any Indian who doesn't know English or local language in that area may feel they are entering to area which is totally alien to them, in their own country.

Also I want to mention Japanese and Koreans are not good at English but their technology is advanced than most of countries, reason is they actually don't need to worry about another language coz most of stuff can be done very easily with their own language.

True. They should butt out.
But that fact doesn't make this matter less tricky.

India pleaded to China not to interfere in Kashmir. They didnt budge. Now they are forced to taste their own medicine !

Guess they were right in the Indian reaction if they didn't budge. Doesn't make it right though i.m.h.o.
The bolded part make this reaction a bit childish and far more dangerously.
In the Kashmir case Pakistan was already holding that part so Chinese involvement, though maybe strenghtening Pakistans position a bit, didn't realy change ground reality.
In this case the disputed territory is not controlled by anyone, the Chinese coming closest to the one controling it.
So Indian involvement does change ground (or sea) reality, making an aggressive response far more likely.
If India just wants to annoy them, it's better to have a base in Taiwan or something like that.

Block your entry into UNSC, for instance.

That alone will sufficiently make you whine.

This is a typical so called "soft power": no actual resources are used but highly efficient.

Blocking an UNSC seat is the big kahuna in your eyes--- that’s your critical thinking? Not giving something which holds no value because India does not have it -- UN is joke anyways. How does it affect India? trade, security?

yes thats right and despite that our technology is still decades ahead of India's. there is no Indian Huawei or Indian Datang. India does not set standards like Huawei and Datang did. You want IT? That's IT right there. Telecom is one of the applications of IT yet India is far behind. Control systems are another application of IT yet India hired Lockheed Martin to write the LCA control systems while China's space program's control systems as well as Beidou's control systems were all written by Chinese engineers.

I will tell u son what are the permanent advantages :
1. India has more population in 20-40 age group which is supposedly the most productive years of a man's life. So, we have demographic advantage.

India talk so much about their young demographic advantage. Yet their young people has the lowest enrollment in universities when compared with other large countries.

Did we all forget this little tidbit from a few months ago...?

Assert yourself, begin with your neighbourhood: US urges India - Indian Express

“It's time to lead,” US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told India today, urging Delhi to do more to integrate economically with neighbours Afghanistan and Pakistan and to take a more assertive role across the Asia-Pacific, in the face of an increasing Chinese role.

Perhaps India is looking to get more American tech. Quid pro quo...

Didn't China already use force removing some installations on one of the islands?
Also remember an article in which they shelled a ship.

The Paracel islands. Taken during naval skirmishes as a part of wider skirmishes along the Vietnamese Chinese border. These running battles happened all throughout the 1980-1990. Curiously they played a pretty important part in the PLA's modernization as units were rotated in and out of the combat zones to test the military reforms phasing out the "people's war" doctrine.

Trusting the other side won't use force when it comes to border disputes is a mistake.

This was Nehru's mistake during that war. He assumed that by passively annexing land with outposts that the Chinese government would hesitate to act, allowing him to keep whatever land he placed outposts on. This had the effect of stretching Indian thinly across a large area and India being politically and military unprepared for actual war. Nehru got his bluffed called.

How about this "China Says No To India Warning, China to co-operate with SL" ?

I think Indian members will be moderate about us when we deal with China!

You're not going to see a headline like that in Chinese. Indians are jumping all over this South Sea gambit because they want to prove a point to China. In life, people only feel like they need to prove a point if they are coming a position of powerlessness, prove a point to a stronger power. The analogy breaks down with China because China's not got a point to prove against India.
