Only in indian wet dreams that Russia would even join hands with India to counter China because Russian collaboration is much more close and strategic with China than India. True China may not be their largest arms customer but the trade runs significantly higher and so do political goals..more importantly both are veto yielding UNSC members.
Russia want to enter the Bangladesh and Srilanka, India will be nearest point to connect russia to these two countries.. In return India will get some chunk of business and expertise
Russia will get access to these country, Russia will get cheap labor, and a market.. Its win win situation.....
for those who believe Its threat to china: Chinies premier recently said that there is enough Market opportunity for both India and china to grow peacefully.. I don know why some of PDF member take it personally

No, this is not possible, Bangladesh and Russian agreements are bilateral, any change will require a tripartite multilateral agreement be negotiated. Even putting aside the IAEA supplier rules, this still would not be possible as we want 1100MW reactors (2x550MW) from a single supplier source, and india can only offer 200-250MW units.

What are you trying to say, we can't negotiate with Russia without going through india? We can do our own deals thanks.
Thats going to be high-stake strategic move and who-ever is able to sell such tech to these two countries, they would align with them.
I doubt if Srilanka would opt for Indian side over China but Bangladesh government has few psychological problems and might opt for India over China.

you can but Russians wont. Because Installation is not only the issue, when we hand over the reactors we need to give training to the scientists and workers in Bangladesh to operate on these reactors. That is must for your and our security. Its a very critical technology, no one would involve without complete measures.
And I bet we can provide you with the best training and cheap cost and with much other advantages.
Have you read any of this thread? Bangladesh has already negotiated for the supply of reactors including all support and fuel from russia. How does this involve india? No country buys from mulitple sources.
