My honest belief is i want India to enjoy high authority in the world. Why shouldnt i? My parents were born in India. We should pray for the strong development for both countries. We have a long way to go but each small step is posative. Sadly we need to change the mindset of the few like Bodyguard. Here is a guy that apitimises eveything both of our countries dont want!

This is something we should keep in mind when interacting with Indians here. They are the small percentage of Indians with access to internet (~8%) and English speaking (11.38%). What we don't hear from is the vast population of poor and suffering that the Indians here would rather bury away because it is embarrassing to their idea of Shining India.

Most of the time, when I see that some county is doing well the raival comments something opposit instead of congratulating or the fellow from the appriciated country cirtizises the raival country comparing his countries achivements.

I don't know when we are going to at like mature leaders and not like elementary school kids. Think of the posibility if China, India and Pakistan stand together with Russia at our backing. The Europe and West will feel that they have no place in the East for their divide and exploit policy.

why can not we think simple is my question. we have disputes, let the disputed land be as such. why can not we think past other than sticking to the same old land for the next 1000 years. Humans need evolution and our part of the world definetly needs change. I had worked with a few Chinese Associates in Chennai and they did not have any bad feeling about INDIA, and I have a friend who worked in Pakistan who said that its like INDIA, and Pakistanis visit INDIA for medical treatment. are we not accepting ground reality or we have feeling happy creating anarchy by portraying each other as enemies.
Come on guys we need some thought before we speek in a forum and when I that MUD slining is either started by a new bloger or a member who has prolonged portrayal of enimity between his nation and his neighbours.

People to people is an interesting approach to international problem solving and it has been proposed before, but it just the fact of things that it is government and government that settles political matters.

I agree it would be better but I can't see anyway to bring about such a system.

if we both can talk good about each other to our fellow country men and make them feel the same and make them to spread the message then in over a 50 years there will be a good conductive environment. Its not live we hate each other from our birth. Its a dillusion that we are brought up with.

I mean to say that don't try to show your superiority in every statement ... 40 years before nobody can imagine where will be china in 2011 ... in the same way nobody can imagine where will be india today 20 years before ........ even in this uncertain world we obey western statistician without question ... in some few decades the entire statistics surely going to be changed ...

No what you were talking was precisely a prediction. The logic behind the prediction goes (and it's a commonly held one by Indian members here)

1) China grew at 10% for 30 years
2) China is a large populous developing country
3) India is a large populous developing country

equals the fallacious prediction of

India will grow at 10% for at least 30 years.
