The thing is how can many in the Indian business community do business in Russia if many Russians have anti-immigrant sentiments especially Hindustani students who are easy targets in Russia. It's not even safe for many Indian students there for that matter other foreign students.

I once read about this situation in which foreign students said many of them after class they would go straight to their dorm and would avoid going out at night.

There have been several incidents of violent attacks on Indian and other foreign students in different parts of the Russian Federation by extremist groups. St. Petersburg accounts for a third of all such attacks, according to police statistics. Moscow and Voronezh (about 500 km south of Moscow) come next with 25% and 10% respectively. Foreign students, especially those with dark skin or hair, are vulnerable to harassment and assault by such groups. Mr. Nitesh Kumar Singh, a 6th year Indian student from the Mechnikov Medical Academy, St. Petersburg, was fatally stabbed by a group of 8 masked persons in front of his hostel building on 24 September, 2006. Earlier, in April, another Indian, a 5th year student from the same Medical Academy, Mr. Kishore Kumar Anjangi, was also attacked in the same area but survived. Additionally, eleven foreign students from Africa, Asia and Latin America have also been attacked in the last one year in St. Petersburg and Voronezh, some fatally.

We are not fools to end our decade old relation with Russia because of these incidents.

Why dont you end your relation with USA after so many drone attacks?

Nobody said end your relationship with Russia, what I'm saying what I find interesting in the Russo-Hind relationship is at the state level their is formality and cooperation at the personal face to face level the common Russian dislikes/hates Hindustanis don't want them in Russia and several attacks have been done on Hindustani students while in Russia.

Point is how can both countries expand their business ties if in one country the nationals get attacked, stabbed, beaten up and in the other nationals get raped, harassed, etc. The average Russian hates Indian immigrants and in fact right wing parties are the norm in Russia. Even Russians on several defence forums I've known have expressed similar views.

I guarantee you if an Indian would open up shop or business in Moscow that Indian would be beat up and attacked and told to go home...So much for expanding business ties.

Buddy i guarantee you that if a Indian would get beaten then so would a Pakistani or a South American with a darker skin>the problem is not India its the colour.

And things dont work like this...Recently 3 Pakistanis were killed by Englishmen..does that mean every Englishman hates Pakistanis and you should end your relation with England?

Right wing parties are present in every country .

I think our relationshp with Russia is pretty much at military lvl only .
We hardly have much trade with them

You sound like a broken record. Skinheads hate everyone non-white. You will get your *** beat up in Russia too. Russia is a necessity for India.
