Dont know about this claim because design looks more european than Russian. What is bothering me that how did Russian design it when all the components are Chinese?

There is no denial on the fact that india has come a long way in terms of space research specially in the last decade. India probably spends same amount of resources like china but that comes under civilian research and has very little regional consequences.

Not same amount, just a fraction. As for very little consequences, I think you should look into Indian Space Program and its milestones.

ISRO is one of the profit making agency which launches satellites for other countries, at cheaper rate.

During Hurricane Sandy, it was ISRO which was contacted by NASA for real time information. This is just an example.

But if you think its VERY Little regional consequences, may be look into Global Consequences.

Xi Jinping is a hardliner from the princeling faction in the CPC. Those guys are not to be messed around with, you will see the difference as the months and years progress. Hu Jintao is from the grassroots, they tend to be more liberal to moderate. Xi Jinping's father is one of the founding fathers of the Communist Party of China. Their fuse is much shorter and a helluva alot more ruthless. You can already see from his words he is much more hawkish than previous Chinese leaders except Mao. Ever since Mao died, China has had liberal and moderate leaders until Xi came along. The Chinese military spending is going to skyrocket under Xi.
