Not particularly the point of the thread. but if you do search here, there are many threads posted and started by Chinese about their power grid. with 7 trill GDP as they claim to have, it gotta be a lot more.
Actually the ratio between populations and power productions is very acceptable, and it's only india that claims to be shupaa powaa.
Perhaps an equally important parameter is how this electricity is distributed, and how efficient is the grid.

India didn't fare so well with 22% loss, on par with Yemen, Zambia and Sudan.
Other major electricity producers (both geographically larger) only have 6% loss.
