Let's look at this way. Two students are taking a physics or math test, they both have a problem set to study from. One student spends hours and hours on it, trying and failing and trying and failing, until he finally understands the problems. The other student tries the problems, can't get it right, tries again, still wrong then he looks at the answers on the back of the book, and says to himself "oh yeah that's what I was going to do the next try", he then finishes the rest of the problem set like this.


The two students take the exam. Who do you think is better prepared if the prof asks something new on the exam. Well indigenous research and ToT are the same way.

soln is self learning..............but u cant wait to be threatened or attacked.

Can't agree more with you, our research and development need a serious nudge.
I think 1.2% of our GDP is for research, which should me increased to atleast 2.5%

Actually admitting this again will do nothing but inflate your already over-streched egos. It is widely acknowledged both by the Indian people and the government that China is ahead of us (not as much as you think but still).
