Neither China nor India is too stupid to initiate any war unlike some fools may think, since none of us will be able to achieve a decisive victory over the other. But that war will be too costly to easily pull back the economy and our respective countries decades back.

War costs money. US president needs money that needs to be approved by the parliament.

If China president starts a war, let’s say against the Philippines, who is going to stop him? Nobody. He doesn’t need anybody’s approval.

A country's strength is always tied with it's economy and how much it can spend, we don't want to be another Soviet Union style super power, in China we always know we can't depend others to be strong, we always know depending on ourselves is the only way to become powerful which no one likes to mess with. We are always worried. China waged more wars against Vietnam than your 10 fingers. Last time because we harassed their Cambodia blood brother. Don’t forget: Vietnam pushed the US out of the country, out of Indochinese mainland. It was China under Deng that invited the US back to the region as a means to counter USSR/Vietnam alliance. They shouldn’t complain now.

Pakistan has no mutual defense treaty with China. It’s not really an ally in terms of military sphere. China uses Pakistan as a means to keep India in check. If a new war breaks out, China will sit idle with finger crossed.

Nonsense. Look at the current conflict between Trump and Democrats in the Congress. Trump as the most powerful man on the planet can’t build a wall for $5 billion because he has no funds. How can he wage a more costly war without approval? He has no money. He can’t launch a nuclear war without US Congress approval, either. Can it be said for China president?

If Angela Merkel wants to start a war, she needs approval of the parliament.
