India must go for Covert Action in Pakistan: Book

Weak response. Handle your house first.

Regardless, we will be waiting for your surgicals, your coverts, overts nuclear curry bombs ect.

The problem is you are waiting for us, while everyone else invaded you but us. They invaded you with predators and they invaded you with Navy Seals but you were waiting for us and you still are. So do we compliment your Military preparedness?

You are uninformed of the political dynamo in Pakistan. It is really something you should read up on to comment further.

Also to say we have been invaded by everyone?

A six man seal team is everyone?

Who else "invaded" us?

Being a soft state, we can not go all out against the maoists and create a documentary like "killing fields", otherwise eliminating maoists is just a piece of cake to us. And for your kind information this mao insurgency has been successfully curbed down in most of the areas.

Less India "will" and more India "has"......... oh right we all know those are not as common....
Wise men say, "be careful what you wish for".
Pray that it remains "India will" instead of India "has". The last time this "has" occurred, India split Pakistan into two creating Bangladesh. Not to mention control over Siachen, Kargil's international backlash and the more recent 26/11 loss of face and reputation (or whatever that remained) for Pakistan.

Kashmir insurgency and attacks gone, Maoists top leaders are being killed, we have more problems but we are tackling them. But you didn't answer that should we stop taking things seriously about external threats.

We are not talking about nuke strike, conventional war etc.

If you don't have solid argument, why bother debating with same lines repeated. Let other members of Pakistan come up and discuss this problem with rationality.

We got your point of tackling internal problem. So no need for you to post.

Cheers.

I'm trying to help you out and telling you to stop making a fool out of yourself. Honestly these articles are looking more pathetic day by day.

Uff yeh masoomiat...

Both India and Pakistan have been supporting subversive activities across the border. It's just that Pakistan gets called out for it -- especially since 9/11...

I agree but its about taking it to next level, more lethal and covert as previous strategies and Modus Operandi is not working upto the mark. We are not getting desired results.

But other members are diverting the topic on our internal problems.

All India is trying is being more aggressive and efficient than we have been.

Another difference would be that India could rarely send it's own field operatives, whereas Pakistan has successfully sent field operatives on countless occasions.

Developereo, you should re-read the article. What they are proposing is that a team of Indian special forces will come and find a non-existent militant camp. Kill all 450 men inside of it. Rig it up with c4. Blow it up. Hijack a a military cargo plane and fly it back to India, while singing vande mataram.

While our military sits back and does nothing admitting defeat on Indian CNN.

You obviously don't understand the meaning of "covert".

No you are mistaken. I was under the impression that Indians have no idea of what covert means. Your bollywood war flicks leave a negative and comical impression upon you people to Pakistanis.

Dude not even the Seal team 6 could pull off what Ajmal Kasab and his boys pulled off in Mumbai.

Now sit down and think about that.

OK, see below...

OK, I didn't read the article too closely. My fault.

In that case, the author is having a drug-induced hallucination.

The reason the US (or Israel) can carry out such operations is NOT because of super-advanced technology, or particularly galling temerity, but because their operations are backed by the full might of their military capability. The adversary is powerless to respond even if the operation had not been covert.

In other words, much as the US media brags about the "bravery and skill" during the OBL raid, the fact is that there is very little Pakistan could have done even if the operation had been intercepted. Every US soldier is implicitly backed by the entire US military might and any country that takes him on risks escalating the conflict to involve the full US military machine.

In the case of India, there is no such overpowering disparity with Pakistan. Any Indian misadventures would trigger a response from Pakistan because the conflict escalation is manageable by Pakistan. In other words, before launching any covert operation, the Indian planners must be willing to accept full escalation as the worst case scenario.

Covert operation is what Israel did after Munich Massacre. Taking out the leaders and the plotters with no records on paper. In our case, taking out Dawood, other leaders of terrorist organizations like LTTE etc. .

Read about the operation US tried to kill Fidel Casto, highest number of assassination attempt. That's what is called covert operation. Small team to take out highest priority target of India without any disclosure and admittance of these actions.

Hope this explains you and if doesn't let me know, I have other examples too.
