India lost in Afghanistan , pakistan won

.
Look we have our own very brand of talibs. Thrik e taliban Pakistan. Many people fail to understand that they are doing the same thing as afghan taliban. Not once they said we want a seperation from Pakistan or something. Infact they named themseleves Pakistani taliban, representing their origin and their country.
Just like afghan taliban has a goal to take back the government and establish an Islamic empire , Pakistani taliban also want to capture Islamabad and establish an Islamic empire.
You need to understand they are not insurgents, but terrorist.
The tools afghan taliban use is terrorism, bomb blast, attacks, assassination of their own innocent countrymen etc to achieve their goal, the same way the Pakistani taliban kill innocent Pakistanis to achieve their goal which is to capture the capital and rule .
They taliban whether Pakistan or afghan are nothing but butchers that kill innocent people.
Yes the afghan taliban achieved some sort of victory in Afghanistan but at the cost of what. How many Americans they killed?
50, 100.
But they have killed millions of Afghans.
They have killed millions and millions of innocent humans. They have killed the very humans they wany. Had they not killed so many, afghans must have long left us behind in population.
How any of pakistanis idolized them. How can you idealize them... Do you wnat them to rule your country? No. Or do you even want a madmen like zia radicalising the nation. No. We need to lose things and ease up. Become more normal and less radical. Become more conclusive and increase the acceptence and work towards the development on the country based on science and modernism.
Look at the like of oriya Jan taking about them like some Nobel warriors.
Would oriya let these barbarians rule Pakistan? Would you?
They are nothing but terroist. In Pakistan we have taliban in one corner of the country and (despite huge radicalization of pakistanis at the hand of zia and still we have the remains) the overall paksitanis reject them. Attacks make them even more unpopular and untolerable. And hence everyone supported action against them...
And we eliminate them at huge coast to our economy and huge loss to life.
In Afghanistan they control the rural areas , they do governance too. And in those areas there are no attacks .
Surprise surprise.
Why there were no attacks? Because the attackers live and rule there. And so people move in their areas and hence have some level of support from jahil.
Now why we should be happy, we have given them shelter for 40 years now. We have helped them survive. Now is the time to pay back. One, settle the border and other stop the interference of India and make sure to prefer Pakistan in trade relations.
That's it.
We Pakistanis are a modern nation. We don't need these filth or religious zealots here. Even if religion goes unchecked it too crests a problem. That's why true Islamic countries always govern madrassa, mosques everything from government level. Like turkey, central Asian countries, Arab countries.
Mosques and madrassa should not be left on their own to teach their own brand and political Islam.
Agreed with most part except few things.
Afghan Taliban and TTP are two different groups. TTP was made by CIA and RAW to counter pakistan. The tactics of too groups may be similar but their goals are very different.
TTP main goal is to spread terror inside pakistan but afghan Taliban goal is to fight for liberating their country. Afghan Taliban never orchestrate any terrorist attack or bad mouth against pakistan.
Fortunately TTP is defeated and almost don't exist anymore.
One reason why afghan Taliban are popular and difficult to defeat in Afghanistan is their effective Sharia based court system which is not corrupt and slow like government courts where judges and police take bribe.
The afghan Taliban fight is nowhere close to terrorism because they are the true owners of Afghanistan, the first liberated afghans from Soviet Union ,later America provided afghans with better government, less crime and no drug trafficking.Thats the reason they are so popular overthere, one talib die ten talibs take their place. So after all those sacrifices of afghan Taliban a puppet punny American and indian based Ghani government has a right to rule Afghanistan?
Support of afghan Taliban by pakistan is not just a right thing to do diplomatically but also morally. But we must ensure what happens inside Afghanistan should stay inside Afghanistan. Their ideology works only in Afghanistan not in Pakistan. Its afghan society who accept that ideology pakistan completely reject it.Our relations with Afghanistan are cultural, historical and diplomatic but political ideology is vastly different and will remain different.

The Soviets would green light India to invade pakistan as they please, while supporting them. You have a point that the Soviets themselves could bypass Pakistan if they simply block linked through afg and Iran to perhaps chabahar. We know that Russians have no qualms about whatever brutal tactics and obsessions their allies indulge in. Moreover it is highly probable that they would still support India in an invasion, without necessarily directly occupying Pakistani land.

As for incentives, it's the warm water port in the Gulf, access to the Indian ocean and shoring up the southern border with communist puppets/vassals/allies. What's not to like?
I can spin alternative theories all day, but there is a small issue Gwadar or Chabahar all these ports never had potential at the time. Heck these names become familiar recently. Gulf countries reached its full potential in the 90's, by that time the Soviet Afg war ended so, I don't know again why would Soviets want to expand to Pakistan.

Indian invasion of Pakistan sounds like a fantasy. All this can be put to rest once you understand a basic point of why the soviets send it's army to Afg.

PTM is the continuation of the TTP...

The deadliest threat that is quietly taking root in Afghanistan and Pakistan, is the threat of ISIS. There is every indication which points to zionist owned america, to use the same tact from it's "Middle East Playbook" .... in Afghanistan, and through it, into Pakistan. Perhaps many Pakistanis seem to absorb in sordid things such as bollywood, $2 prostitute politics and gossip. As I believe they miserably fail to assess the situation. If Pakistanis actually believe that the "War on Terror" something real, then it is no wonder they haven't the first clue about anything.

The zionist owned american military, along with it's NATO pets, is in Afghanistan for only one reason and one reason alone ... to neutralize Pakistan's nuclear arsenal by way of dismembering it, like they did to Yugoslavia, to Iraq, to Libya and are now attempting to do the same in Syria. I mean the pattern couldn't be more obvious for someone who actual possessed a functioning brain. But no, Pakistanis seem to delve into more confusion than a five year old child.

Let's face the facts shall we, Pakistan has enemy in the east, an even deadlier enemy in the west, and that's not Afghanistan, rather it is the Zionist States of America. A country that has, with it's track record, decimated any Muslim country which was not already under it's proverbial thumb. So what makes anyone think that things in Afghanistan would settle down? And what makes anyone think that hindia is even a factor in Afghanistan to begin with? hindia is as worthless and useless in Afghanistan, as wearing flip-flops to play soccer.

Pakistan's military and intelligence communities however (thank Allah) had their brains alert. Their maintaining a positive bond with Afghan Pukhtun Mujahideen in Afghanistan, thwarted zionist american-british attempts to dismember Pakistan by pulverizing the country with terrorists. What happened to Iraq, Libya and Syria, could may well have happens to Pakistan, anytime during the last 18 years of that bogus "War on Terror."

I am not so worried about what Pakistan's security services are doing to tackle malicious attempts of zionist america and britain to destroy Pakistan. I am more worried about the disunity amongst Pakistanis and their hopelessly shameful lack of intellect and discipline of the mind.

Nowadays, zionists can get a horse to deal cards with their media, and Pakistanis fall for it everytime, hook ... line and sinker. Pakistanis ought unite as nation and allow critical thinking to flourish within. Focus on that, and see how easy is it is to exterminate foreign powers interference.

All sides in Afghanistan urged to take decisive action against al Qaeda, Da'ish, ETIM, TTP and other terror networks

ISLAMABAD : Pakistan, China, Iran and Russia on Tuesday urged all sides in Afghanistan to declare a “comprehensive ceasefire throughout the war-torn country” as they welcomed the recent power-sharing agreement between President Ashraf Ghani and Dr Abdullah Abdullah.

The special representatives of these four countries held a virtual conference to discuss the current situation in Afghanistan and ongoing efforts seeking an end to the lingering unrest in the country.

Their meeting came against the backdrop of recent power-sharing deal in Afghanistan, ending the months-long deadlock between Ghani and Abdullah and also the recent spike in violence particularly the horrific terrorist attack targetting a maternity hospital in Kabul.

A joint statement issued simultaneously by Islamabad, Beijing, Tehran and Moscow voiced serious concerns over the terrorism threat existing in Afghanistan.

India always supported traitors in Afghanistan: Taliban negotiator

The statement said the quartet supported the initiative of the UN Secretary General António Guterres for a universal ceasefire and called for a simultaneous declaration of a comprehensive ceasefire throughout Afghanistan as agreed among parties to the conflict.

Concerned with the serious terrorism threat existing in Afghanistan, they urged all sides in Afghanistan to take decisive action against al Qaeda, ISIL, ETIM, TTP and other international terrorist organisations operating against regional countries, and to completely eradicate the production and trafficking of narcotics in the country.

Pakistan, China, Russia and Iran have shared common views on Afghanistan particularly the threat posed by groups such as Da’ish to these respective countries.

Iran suggests forming new bloc with Pakistan, Turkey, Russia & China

Importantly, these four countries have maintained contacts with the Afghan Taliban as they view the insurgent group to stop the rise of Da’ish in Afghanistan and beyond.

It was because of this reason these countries favoured a peace deal between the Taliban and the US, allowing orderly withdrawal of foreign forces from the region.

“Pay close attention to the follow-up developments resulting in exit of foreign troops from Afghanistan, call on foreign troops to withdraw in an orderly and responsible way so that the situation in Afghanistan will experience a steady transition,” the joint statement read.

The joint statement reiterated their respect for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Afghanistan, and the decision of its people on their future and development path.

They welcomed the agreement between two main political leaders and hoped that this important event will expedite the start of Intra-Afghan negotiations.

They also supported the “Afghan-led, Afghan-owned” peace and reconciliation process, believed that the inclusive Intra-Afghan negotiations are the only way to realise the Afghan national reconciliation, leading to prompt end of the prolonged conflict.

The joint statement called on all Afghan ethnic groups and parties, including the Taliban to act upon the opportunities preparing the situation to launch the Intra-Afghan negotiations as soon as possible.

They supported the release of prisoners and detainees held by all parties to the conflict in Afghanistan, a key phase of the peace process leading to the intra-Afghan dialogue.

Reaffirm their support to Afghanistan to overcome the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, they welcomed the international community to continue providing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan.

“Underscore that repatriation and reintegration of Afghan refugees should be part of any peace and reconciliation process, call upon the international community to support time-bound return of Afghan refugees with dignity and honour.”

The joint statement agreed to maintain the contact on the Afghanistan issue, and work together to advance the Afghan peace reconciliation and reconstruction process.

this thread is quite idiotic and outright simply wrong. Taleban wants to enagge with India and need India's help. Therefore this is what their spokesperson said:

https://www.thehindu.com/news/natio...l-for-dialogue-with-india/article31638196.ece

‘The policy of the Islamic Emirate is clear that it does not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries,’ Suhail Shaheen, Taliban spokesperson in Doha, affirmed in a tweet
The Taliban has reinforced its intent to engage with India by nudging its readiness to accept Kashmir as India’s internal affair amid a new round of international diplomacy to encourage a broad-based political settlement in Afghanistan.

A tweet by the spokesman of its Doha office on Monday pointed to Taliban’s preparedness to green-light Kashmir as India’s internal affair — a move that could provide an important opening for India’s engagement with the group, which took root in Pakistan.
