.
China says they are not India's enemy but everytime India strides towards greater military capabilities
for defence of the nation, they respond erratically with a mouthful of trash and garbage.

What is their problem?

I think the Japanese are doing good by taking away their islands.

. . . . . .
The behind and mid body both have a very peculiar design. Looks more like a hybrid of a destroyer, frigate, and wannabe aircraft carrier. All signs of first attempt.:taz:

.
Well for you it must be a cakewalk considering the expertise you have for nuclear powered subs.

But tell me something; why doesn't any US shipyard make conventional carriers for export?

There are navies like Thailand, Brazil etc who want smaller carriers with fighters on them.

Also cash rich countries like KSA and Qatar would love getting their hands on a 30,000+ tonne carrier with jets on them.

Any ideas?

What are you trying to say?

And how come you're comparing Japanese with us? :woot:

I thought you were er.... having a rock between you and them

Seriously man, at least have some dignity in commenting..

Several reasons.

1. Its expensive, very few nations can afford to run carriers of that size, maintain and protect it.
2. There are still classified systems on the carriers, especially the catapults. Even the Russians couldn't make it feasible on their ships.
3. Exporting aircraft carriers is almost like exporting SSBNs. That is a very dangerous weapons platform to give to a country.

.
The launch of INS Vikrant has raised hackles in China, with Chinese defence experts saying the aircraft carrier would have great significance for India as it would allow the Indian Navy to wade into the Pacific Ocean - which Beijing considers as its backyard.

WTF man!

does china thinks every ocean in this world as it' own backyard for granted .:cuckoo:Does china owe this world or what !!
1st south china sea then indian ocean now what are we seeing they are talking Pacific ocean as their own backyard.
now then they would claim antartic ocean as our backyard :omghaha:

Song Xiaojun, a military commentator in Beijing, said the Vikrant uses technology from the 1980s and thus serves as an experiment for the Indian Navy to set technical standards for future vessels

Now gimme a break

now how the hell he know Vikrant uses technolgy from 1980's

a ship built in the year 2012 then it uses tech from 80's if it made in india

i think the author is trolling

. . . .
@Agent_47: There are several techniques used by aircraft carriers or ships in general.
Like stabilizers:

Also good part of ships heavy weight equipments are below the waterline, which gives it added stability.
