India is always comparing herself with China

.
This article is silly. Chau has nothing to do with China. She's an American from the Phillipines married to a Jew. Her way of parenting is from the 1940's. My uncles tried this sh*t with my cousins and they threw a chair through the window, and told him the TV was next. Get hard with these parents and they back down.

I don't think that's what on Indian minds.

The USA, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Australia etc etc are doing better than India but I haven't read a single article written by Indians comparing India with those countries.

Some Indian bash china, some love china, some admire china, some fear china. I forgot to mention they are our neighbours.
Their success is achievable by us( we cant be US/Japan etc in near future).

Dont pakistanis compare themselves with Indian and China. Do pakistanis compare themselves with Australia or Brazil or US?

Driving young children working very hard is a bad idea. Kids often get burnt out with studies even before their universities education begin.

Chinese universities at the moment are trying to downplay the importance of exam results and look more into extracurricular activities to pick new students. Although a lot of people are crying foul over this (because families with higher income are better positioned under the new system), I think it's the right way to go.

It is fine to compare. Its within our human nature to do so. We do it, family does it, countries does it. There is nothing wrong with it. So long no one is harmed in the process and there is no ill itentions then it's fine to compare.
If you do not compare with oneself then you will not modernize and grow.

. . .
Comparing oneself to someone else always show inferior complex. Yes we should understand ourselves, both advantages and disadvantages versus others, but not the kind of India vs. China comparing which have been appearing on India mainstream media for years.
Vietnamese people, despite being still pretty poor, very rarely bother to compare ourselves to anyone, either Thailand, China or Korea. You would never find an article like Vietnam vs. Korea etc.
Indian, be proud of yourselves and stop comparing to China. And then, you may gain more respect from other countries.

No, surely not a crime. But it show India is weak country, both physically and mentally.

We compare our selfs with our neighbour in our streets.

We compare our selfs with our friends in school.

we compare our selfs with our relatives.

All this may project India as weak outside, But hell, we like to compare. This is our fav time pass.

Comparing with others is a sign of bringing motivtion to prerform better and try to catch up with benchmark. Comparison is a mean to desire of performing something better.. Mate, its not jealosy, its comparison.. so better to be be choosy while typing on your pc.
