India, Iran, Russia push alternative to Suez Canal

The USA is currently under influence of the Zionist lobby to a point where no one can dare criticize them and still remain in their job. An average postal worker can lose his or her job he or she questions the Zionist lobby beyond a certain point.

The only target for the Zionist lobby in the USA is the Pakistani nuclear capability because it keeps them up at night. The Zionist lobby sees everything through its religious perspective in absolute terms. They will not rest at ease until Pakistan, a majority Muslim country who also happens to have fought off an enemy around 10 times its size to a stand still, is somehow weakened to a point where it will surrender its nukes. This leaves the Zionist lobby even in more tense state. Pakistan despite absolute corruption by its political and bureaucratic class manged to not only become a nuclear power, but that too a strong one with the ability to hit the enemy anywhere with precision. This keeps the Zionist lobby even more sleepless. Decades of sleepless nights tend to drive one crazy and delusional, especially when absolute biblical perspective is the only one one has.

The war in Afghanistan was never about anything other than Pakistan. None of the stated goals for the war make any sense to a normal person. You spent $50 Billion a year fro 17 years and counting to fight a bunch of farmers with rusted AK47s, while negotiating with them at the same time.

A direct military conflict with Pakistan is not feasible for whoever is thinking about it. Any credible potential threat to its existence will cause Pakistan to raise the stakes, and Pakistan will end up taking many, many countries down the nuclear hellhole with it.

The only way to achieve that goal is to spark a civil war, which requires massive civil unrest and animosity between the government and the people. The drone strikes were exactly that. An attempt to spark civil unrest and eventually civil war in Pakistan so the state could be forced to give up nukes somehow.

Further discussion on this topic is useless if one is not aware of the religious and cultural beliefs of the Zionist lobby, its aims and boundary conditions that will satisfy its existence.

The way I see it , this project is Russia centric , and Azerbaijan and Iran will be the biggest beneficiary ...

Otherwise, Europe is much more easily reachable through Suez Canal rather than going through so many countries ...

A study shows that per 15-ton cargo will save USD 2,500 from Mumbai to Baku whereas savings will further reduce when goods will reach till Russia and probably it will be negative in case of Europe ...

However, Russia and Azerbaijaan are the true beneficiaries ... Whereas Iran will get benefit through trade route ...
=My question, what benefit India will get? India can supply goods to Azerbaijaan and Russia ? Yes, but once the route is available then the same could be used by any other country on commercial terms ...

Furthermore, is this project economically feasible? Going for such a big investment only for the benefit of two countries, Do they have that much trade potential to recover the infrastructure cost?

The North South Transport corridor (NSTC) is a joint Iranian, Indian, Russian and Azerbaijan project.
The NSTC route will be 30% cheaper and 40% shorter than the current traditional route

Whoever came up with this map is either a bit high or really wants this NStc thing to happen. Most of Russian trade actually goes right through the black sea and the Bosphorus.

Bulk of the investment in iran is already done .

Tell me about the roads to Afghanistan. A new corridor is not just drawing a line and building a road over it. Its not a strategic corridor. But if you are celebrating a new road, congratulations.

Thanks, because it suites us very well since it reduce our container shipment costs by over 30%. That's what we gain. And please don't mix Afghanistan with INSTC. They are just two different things.

Yes iran will benefit from trade ... but what about india ?

We gain the same way what the countries who invest in Pakistan get back in return. Any doubt?? :azn::azn::azn:

    Following the 11th meeting of the Belarusian-Azerbaijani intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, Belarusian Railways and the Azerbaijan Railways CJSC signed an agreement on mutually beneficial cooperation.

    Head of Belarusian Railway Vladimir Morozov said that the interaction of the railways of the two countries is of traditional nature and the new agreement was signed not only to formalize the existing cooperation, but also to give it a new impetus, BeLta reported.

    Morozov explained that this agreement creates the most comfortable, sustainable transport links between Belarus and Azerbaijan.

    "What is especially important is the development of the North-South corridor, the creation of conditions for the movement of goods from India, Iran, Azerbaijan, Russia and Belarus. The agreement involves the creation of working groups on tariff and technological spheres. Around 96 percent of goods in trade between two countries are moving by rail. We are interested in having as many of them as possible. This requires fair tariffs, good logistics services and rolling stock, as well as the efficient work of the two railway administrations. The lion's share of the transit corridor runs through the Russian Federation. We work with partners so that tariff and technology policies are agreed," he said.

    International Transport Corridor (ITC) "North-South" is a multimodal route for transporting passengers and goods from St. Petersburg (Russia) to the port of Mumbai (India).

    The idea of the North-South transport corridor appeared in 1993. However, only on September 12, 2000, Russia, Iran and India signed a corresponding agreement, which was ratified in 2002. Azerbaijan joined the project in 2005.

    The implementation of the idea has stalled due to Western sanctions against Iran. With the lifting of sanctions against Tehran in January 2016, the project again acquired its relevance.

    The length of the international transport corridor "North-South" is more than 7,000 kilometers.

    A significant part of the North-South corridor runs along the Russian railways, which, depending on the route, account for 33-53 percentage of the total length of the land part of the corridor.

    The INSTC in its southern part involves several routes for the passage of goods using rail transport:

    Trans-Caspian route implies using of the Russian sea ports of Astrakhan, Olya, Makhachkala and the ports of Iran - Bender-Enzeli, Nowshehr and Bender-Amirabad.

    The western branch of the corridor is a direct rail link through the Samur (Russia) -Yalama (Azerbaijan) border crossings with further access to the Iranian railway network via the Astara (Azerbaijan) - Astara border (Iran).

    The eastern branch of the corridor is a direct rail link through Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan with access to the Iranian railway network through the border crossings Sarakhs (Turkmenistan) - Sarakhs (Iran) and Akyaila (Turkmenistan) - Inche Burun (Iran).

    Currently, these routes are mainly destined for Russia's export cargo to Azerbaijan and Iran.

    The main advantage of the North-South corridor over other routes is a reduction of two or more times the distance of transportation, as well as a reduction in the cost of transporting containers compared to the cost of transportation along the sea route.

    Rasht-Astara (Iran) - Astara railway (Azerbaijan) has great importance for the project, which is the last link of the direct railway route along the western branch of the North-South.
