India--Iran--Afghanistan Finalise Agreement on Chabahar TRANSPORT and TRANSIT pact

It will provide India more access to Afghanistan and reduce Afghanistan's dependence on Karachi Port and Pakistan

Benefits for Iran:

One of Iran’s strategic weaknesses is its lack of deep-water ports. Iran’s southern ports, such as Bandar Abbas which handles 85 percent of Iranian seaborne trade, can only receive 100,000 ton cargo ships. Since most shipping is conducted via 250,000 ton cargo vessels, cargo must first be offloaded in the United Arab Emirates and then transferred on smaller ships which can dock in Iran. Aside from the hundreds of millions of dollars lost to the UAE for the above facility, Iran is also vulnerable to a UAE closure of its seaborne trade in the case of conflict between Iran and the UAE or its GCC and Western allies.

Benefits for Pakistan:

Goods destined for Afghanistan are offloaded at our ports, duty and taxation free, but they end up in Pakistani markets costing us billions/ yr in loss taxation. With most goods entering Afghanistan via Iran means no more smuggled goods into Pakistan plus making heroin and weapons smuggling into Pakistan even harder for Afghans and their Pakistani counterparts.

Indian cost of shipping goods to Central Asian states will be much higher then of Pakistan, we will have access to these states via road and no need to load off load ships costing valuable time and money. India will have to subsides goods to bring it at Par or lose market share. Please tell me, how is this going to be a loss for Pakistan or a Game changer?

Chabhar is limited project only for 3 countries can benefit from it

And still India can only get dry fruits from Iran which it was getting earlier and only difference will be getting Afghan poppy only and few fruits yes India can export something's but again they are limited

Gwadar port importance is more than chabhar because most of oil tankers going to Japan and other countries passing from gwadar and gwadar is only port lies that has deep sea so they can lie their goods in gwadar and transport if via CPEC to other related countries if not all 10 to 16 can benefit soon Russia going to join CPEC for its trade with China

Afghanistan India and Iran we appreciate they develop together but this chabhar is only to counter Pak we seen that Indian kalbhushan is bidding behind chabhar port curtain for years Iran keep feeding him when he caught Iran is also exposed now

Iran and Afghans are no more our friends they are in same category as India for me at least

Iran always supported India over Pakistan don't know why but fact is Iran can do more with Pak than India but it's their choice hope Pak should stop acting blind counter these Iranians and Afghans first who has Indian tongue in their mouths

You are exaggerating CPEC like your establishment.

China can utilize Pakistani human resources and can gain foot hold in Indian sub continent.

Regarding oil tankers , yes China can get through this corridor but the world is moving in the direction of electric vehicles and China is investing heavily in this technology.

This corridor will improve Pakistans GDP in the coming decade. It depends on how well Pakistan develops its human resources after math.

There are countries which are entering this corridor in the name of business to play covert games as well.

Good, hope they get this up.

And yes, this isn't something to counter Pakistan, the world is bigger, and our population is too, so is our energy needs, and then look at the places it will get India access to .

Despite picking up on hydro and nuke power plants, the minority of our power will be generated from coal and oil fired power plants, we have abundant coal for 300 years. We need oil...

Even The East India Company, which established British rule over Hindistan, went bankrupt with Robert Clive committing suicide over stockholders pressure..

There is huge trust deficit between India and Pakistan. Its exactly same way, when Nawaz try to establish good relation with India and Indian sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan through sending spy in Baluchistan is alarming for Iran too. Because, India is using Iran proximity for proxy war inside Pakistan.
India is not only trying to destroy Pakistani Baluchistan they also fanning terrorism in Iran side too. Remember, baluch anti state elements been working for the United Baluchistan for decade. If Iran think they are safe from terrorism in Pakistani Baluchistan , they are in fools heaven. Its heavy funded from Indian agencies.

Looking forward to india BBIN for trading tomatoes and chabahar for trading hashish/poppy half of which will be looted by war lords even before entering Iran

India is doing very nice for the region. This will open doors for Afghanistan also, and surely trade will be increased.
Overall we can combine this route with Pak-China trade route. That's how India can't only get access to Afghanistan, but also security for the route in Afghanistan.
If these two routes are combined then we can change the future into a shiny one.
About Iranis, mmmm well, India will learn lot of things with course of time.

Kek, are we supposed to be impressed ? Don't make me laugh , you just redirected existing trade tours to a alternate ones. We are still finalising the drafts yet major economies in the region have already signed the deal .

The markets India can reach through Iran is far greater than Pakistan, we now can access EU & Central Asia . We are in a finalising stage with Turkmenistan & Uzbekistan .

But the hilarious thing is ridiculous comparison with Pakistan. India is THE 7th largest economy in the world in nominal , and the 3RD largest economy in PPP , Our very exports surpassed the economy of Pakistan (in 40th spot)

No matter how many railway tracks pics you post won't change that fact

By default, india's economy will always be bigger than Pakistan's. india's poulation is approximately 8 times bigger than Pakistan's. india is either the 1st or 2nd most populated nation on earth so that's the position that the indian economy should be in. The fact that it isn't, even after 70 years of independence from the British is far more surprising than anything else.

Great, this project can bring about an economic boom for Afghanistan if properly implemented, it can also hugely increase trade between subcontinent and central Asia, Russia, Turkey and Europe.
If we give Iranians access to China, they should reciprocate, maybe give us access to Turkey.

Indeed, at least some members can see that there is a way for everyone to win. We can be a much more efficient route for Pakistan for access to Iraq, Turkey and Europe, while Pakistan can give us land access to China. 2 countries would be fools if they don't use this opportunity to enhance trade and establish a business route from Mediterranean sea to Eastern China.

Now here's another great news.

Good development, meanwhile 130 Afghan transport companies have announced their readiness for Chabahar port.

What about millions of Afghan refugees in Pakistan ? Will they also be traveling to Chabahar:lol: Please request your 130 transport companies to take your fellow countrymen as their first assignment.
