India insults Pakistani FM on his maiden official tour to India for SCO Meetup

it came in the wake of the Kashmir attack that killed 5 Indian soldiers... nice timing, wonder who planned it

his hand was forced, he had to speak.

too much of a coincidence, could be Pak fauj/ISI do not desire peace at this time as they fear it might lead to Indian hegemony or something and so are keeping that front open. Its a bad strategy.

Is there proof of Pakistan's hand in this attack? When will Indians realize that many of the IOK locals have experienced Indian aggression and are not in love with India consequently?

India has grown on many counts but not mentally.

The Establishment and PTI were on the same page on the matter of War On Terror and supporting elements that have brought Afghanistan back to the stone age. From where this assumption of appeasing white masters in USA and Europe is stem from? Khan's amusing narrative?

Sorry bro, Pakistan has lost the plot with the WEST and its current situation is reflective of this fact.

Afghanistan is none of our concern whether it is in stone age or whatever. It was always in stone age

I was just answering your rhetoric about economy and all that which is not possible when establishment of the country is busy with its monkey games of imposing clowns in the form of sharifs and zardaris

Imran went to Oxford
sports quota, right ?

this ‘Uber smart’ graduated from the University of Delhi…..
This chap has quite an overinflated opinion of himself.
Indian Administrative Services

among or maybe the toughest thing to crack here in India.

what makes you think he has a huge ego ?

what do you think, they're just magically conjuring up these weapons, explosives and being trained in warfare/ambush tactics etc by djinns ?

Just remember this is coming from a country with hundreds of millions of its people live in filth and abject poverty, a leader who is responsible for a massacre of its minorities, an army with a 40 year track record of rape and murder in Kashmir. They attacked you a few years back and do not hide their hatred.

Now tell me why would you send your foreign minister to this meeting in India and expect anything different?

Pakistan should have been a 1st world developed rich country by now so you could look down on these rats and subdue them. That is the only language they understand. I don't understand what what was goal sending an unqualified and inexperienced kid to get verbally abused.

Would SMQ have gone? No I don't think so. PDM is a failure on all levels, they really need to be shown the door.

Unbecoming of a conduct of a FM of a host country. The less said the better about this circus. His statements only downplayed the purpose of the summit.

And then there is Bilawal. First of all, the Pakistani FM should’ve politely declined. But then now he is doing a good job being low profile. Better to keep quiet and come back.

Zooming out a bit, Pakistan’s foreign policy needs a rethink. Is the mindset of utopia Pan Islamic nation, which Pakistan is stuck in, a viable option going forward? Following points:

- Is a policy of taking India to task (what PTI was doing) or going into complete submissive mode (PDM and their handlers) a viable option? Maybe the answer lies somewhere in the middle.

- Is completely suspending trade with India a viable option? Can there be a case for lowering the rhetoric, keeping the LoC and engage in ‘some trade’ with India. Both countries can benefit a bit with exporting to each other rather than via UAE?

- Is there a case for improving relations with Russia (which PTI was doing) and hence benefit from oil, gas prices and other investments.

- Is there a case of going into a non aligned group of countries where Pakistan doesn’t have to side in any conflict. US-China, India-China, China-Taiwan, Iran-Saudi, Middle East-Israel etc etc.

- Does there need to be a rethink of Afghan policy. While they are our neighbors, does the movement of the Afghans need to be regulated and does there need to be a revisit of Afghan Transit Trade altogether.

Pakistan’s foreign policy is intertwined with domestic security which in turn is intertwined with economic security. There really needs to be a shift in the paradigm.

What? That's the US system you seem to be confused with. You need the grades.
So he got into Oxford based purely on his academic credentials and his cricket had nothing to do with it ? Haven't really looked into IK's education history.

He's great for your standards.
No, he's actually a pretty accomplished guy. I get you don't like him but he's a smart man.

Just listen to him.
Let's ignore that but who invites a guest and then proceeds to insult him. He's also uncouth and vile.
It's to do with that surprisingly coincidental attack on our guys in Kashmir just as we're hosting this.

Ugly geopolitics 101

As you said, in our current situation, perhaps we couldn't do anything more, but that does not make the trip a success. Just look at the following statement, a glimpse of the absurdity on display.

This is the mindset these feudal families have. They rule with fear to gain respect or surrounded by sycophants kissing their behind. They confused forced respect with genuine respect. BZB goes to SCO and expected a similar treatment as he was in Sind or dealing with Westerners who are using him to fulfill their objectives in Pakistan.

Oth, the Indian FM or whatever his rank is, is a smug personality. No diplomatic decorum whatsoever. I guess that is to be expected considering who he is represents - the most inferiority stricken people on the globe. They have a a huge chip on the shoulder and try to prove how successful and important they are.

Go look at the entry requirements, you can't just get in with sports ability, this ain't the USA. You need to be strong academically.

Your opinion, which you are entitled to.

When you imprison and brutalise a population that's what happens. But even then during war people were polite to each other.

Fair, maybe he was a good student then after all.

Just not a very good politician, too much 'heart on sleeve'

Respectfully disagree there.

I mean, how badly has Pakistan, then, 'brutalized' some of its people to have had to deal with all of the fallout from the security issues that continue to plague them ?
