Pakistan needs to understand that India has become one of the largest economies of the world and is increasingly viewed as an alternative market to China that is worthy of economic investments.

Pakistan desired a solution to Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) as per the subcontinent partition rule since 1948, to no avail. Imran Khan did his best to highlight situation of IOK with Hindutva narrative in the mix on international platforms but there are no serious takers on this issue.

So what is the way forward from here? Continue to struggle economically or find a way forward with different countries to rebuild Pakistan's economy? Pakistan has to look beyond China, Russia, Afghanistan, and Iran to develop a viable economy. Pakistan has to find a way to invite Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from multiple countries and develop its industrial capability to stimulate its EXPORTS regime.

I understand you across the line folks' perspective on Jaishankar but he's an uber qualified and super smart diplomat. Underestimate him at your own peril.

but we really all should be thinking peace and moving fwd, and therefore cheering on any dialogue at this level. It'll take some repairing, all the damage IK had done by throwing a spanner in the works.
