The India story seems pathetic from where I stand.
Unless the current govt. falls, and a new stronger pro-reform govt comes,
I dont see anything good happening anytime soon.
BTW how are things in China.

on topic- in the coming years the consumer sector is going to benefit a lot because of the growing indian middle class , this the reason why so many retail outlets these days want to invest in india , btw we can't grow untill and unless we don't get italians out in our next assembly elections

I think Modi has a strong enough personality to push through the necessary reforms. Manmohan Singh unfortunately seems to backtrack on vital decisions like FDI or economic reforms.

Not the best, but a hell of a lot better than the countless "China collapse" articles would suggest. And we are soon due for a change of leadership in 2012, to the new Xi-Li Administration.

I won't really say that the current policy paralysis is Manmohan Singh's fault.
He is an excellent economist.
He just isn't a good enough leader especially due to the Gandhi clan.
What India needs right now is someone like Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
IMO he is the best PM India ever had.

No, I know exactly who he is. He was that guy "Balwinder" that originally started arguing with us regarding Sino-Indian history, and originally tried to make reasonable arguments.

But after being unable to win those arguments, he went mental and started going on about how many "mm" our eyes were (usually 2mm), or how we looked more ugly than Africans.

So don't blame Pakistanis for something that is obviously not their fault.

Anyway back to the topic.
