I thought this only happened in China, because of their history with famine etc..

What sick people, and a sick country. They are supposed to be vegetarians or does that only apply to cow eaters, eat a cow, get killed. But, everything else is ok, as long as it is hidden.

Dogs are intelligent loving animals and make good companions.
Dogs also do good work for us humans as guard dogs, leading the blind, sniff out drugs and etc.
Hypocrites and culture aside, its good if we move away from eating dogs.

I would not call it sick and wrong, though its certainly revolting.
I once had 14 big lovely loyal dogs, I cannot fathom how people would eat them.
Problem is many of these people who eat dogs are raised and lived in an environment that treat eating dogs as normal and so they see nothing wrong with this practice.
Hopefully education and persuasion will help eradicate this practice.

Do you not recognize the evolution of human society and culture, if you are so stuck in your ways, why do you use western technology, why do you wear trousers and western clothing keeping wearing your historical wears, there are so many examples of cultural adaptations accepting certain things are better and adopted as a result.

The concept of pets has gained an increasingly important significance, and pets are very much regarded as part of the family by most people around the world who keep them. Horses, pigs, and cows are farm animals and widely kept for a certain purpose. In India, people get killed for eating or killing cows because it is considered a god or something. Although I know Hindus who eat beef, another case of hypocrisy.

Pets, especially dogs and cats related torture will always naturally create a strong emotional reaction the world over, not just in the UK or west, the world over. you need to be honest with yourself or stop using everything western and send back your Buddhism to South Asia as it is not a local religion.

You need to grow up and stop being so sensitive, there is a genuine emotional attachment to dogs and cats related issues, show some humanity, you will not die if you do not eat them.

I don't eat dog meat, none of my relatives nor friends eat dog meat.
99% Chinese never eat dog meat.
99.9% young Chinese never eat dog meat.
99.99% young urban Chinese never eat dog meat.

But I think all animals are equal, black lives matter, so do we. If we believe all human are equal, then all animals are equal.
