What is so big about US, Russia, China etc. Afganisthan, A country without any missile, nuclear weapons, fighter jets was never defeated in its history. A person or country when gives-up everything....neither he can be defeated nor destroyed at best he can be wounded.... Every country will devise plans how to defend at best its own existence from threats. At best atmost all animals have some potent weapon to protect itself. Then how can country like china cant defend US attack nor India can defend Chinese attack. Its foolish simply to talk of a war in 21st century.

I would consider China to be #3 or #4.

Western rankings are too optimistic by saying we are the 2nd strongest. Chinese rankings are too pessimistic by saying we are 7th place.

but the UN ranks india #1 in global poverty index and #1 in global hunger index.

There are more poor & hungry people in India so what its president or prime minister in not going asking for aid, handouts or oil on deferred payment, arms on soft loans. It is working to be a prosperous nation and to make its people's life better at the same time protecting itself from external threats by arming itself for self defence.

Why all the heads of states headed to India in a span of last 6 to 8 months to sign various economic deals or to give aid to us. Come on man grow. There may be poor people in India, but not so many poor that India cannot feed. There is more grains in India Food Corporation then some countries might be producing. Its only due to lack of will, corruption better governance that the prosperity is not reaching these citizens ...

everybody know that russia and america hate each other but they never went on war,because they are two big nation's with lot at stake.But they still spend billions on weapon's.India and china are quite similar ,both are developing fast,are big nation's again with lot at stake.The political head's of both the nation's are a lot more mature today ,and the situation is quite more different than 1962 today,so i don't think they will commit that blunder.INDIA has also become a lot more carefull with CHINA these days,the governement has also softened it's stand on issue's like tibet,and trying to have a more friendly approach towards the chienese.
