Far from it. They are creating the basic infrastructure right now. Roads, water, sewage, etc..etc..

The Eastern DFC should make a dent in these states. That said, unless the politicos of these states want prosperity, nothing much will happen. And I see that the politicos of these states dont want their people to prosper, so that they remain uneducated and poor...and thus reliable vote banks on caste and creed.

All of those states are growing at very fast pace right now,this isn't the 2000s any more we live in 2015 where MP is the fastest growing state of India

It would be an interesting thought experiment if we imagined them being expelled from the Indian union. Are they really a drag on the rest of the country or a net asset? More importantly would THEY benefit from separation? Now before the ultra nationalists go all berserk here, know this: Big problems need radical solutions.

Then you can declare disco dandia as the national dance and dhokla as the national food.

That would be economically not feasible.

I also heard the same, the auto drivers are very honest.I don't know the current situation.
