India is creating the world's largest database that will help identify every person in one of the world's most populous nations.

The information gathered will include a photograph and finger prints. For many of the 100 million people already registered in the system, the free and voluntary ID cards will also help them in basic pragmatic matters of life, like opening up bank accounts.

However, with no clear cut legislation on privacy, advocates worry such a large public database could be used to target and track unsuspecting millions.

question to Delhites..... Delhi metro, the part where you can check in baggage and boarding pass is awesome..one question though , when you get down you land directly into the terminal or what ??i hope so , becuase it sound so comfortable .last time when i was in delhi if i had to go to southdelhi from north campus the line(red one i reckon) finished at central secretariat ,from there bus, which was not so comfortable(to put it delicately) does the metro covers the whole delhi now ???

The airport line stops right at terminal T3 (International and full service domestic airlines - Kingfisher, Jet and Air India) it doesnt' go to T1D. Found out the hard way when I missed my indigo flight.

For indigo on time means that the departure is 10 minutes before schedule

but the proposal of mumbai maglev was scrapped considering its high cost in 2009...hope that they start it again as early as posible..
