Do you have any actual figure on how much it is costing India?
Things are nowhere as bad as the '90s when we were just coming out of our worst economic crisis. If we didn't break apart then, its ridiculous to even argue anything similar in the present context.
Also, diplomatic cost? Do point it out.
India's defence budget is available to c everywhere....thats what India shows on paper...but actual cost is far far more.
Now 600,000 Indian Army is deployed + 65,000 CRBF + police + agents = 700,000 security force in J&K.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insurgency_in_Jammu_and_Kashmir
According to defence budget publication that is 50% of India's total force deployed in J&K...and i have the figuers but you can easily deduce how much billions and crores of rupees india wastes. Keeping weapons + such a large force in only j&k and then the operations cost.
Siachen, Pakistan and India each maintains approx 150 manned posts with 10 battalions each for a total of some 6,000 troops, which costs India approx Rs50 million a day, Rs1.5 billion a month and Rs30 billion a year.
It is said about 2 crore rupees India spent per day including food, petrol, ammunition etc. Which increases towards the end of year thats winters. Now u calculate it annually.Altogether a huge loss...a very huge financial loss to India.
