Thats the smart of whining. Since they cant do anything by themself, they whine about us to get some sympathy marks at the international level.

On one side, they say that we are flooding their villages and fields and on the other side, they say we are making their lands barren by stopping water.

A smart man takes advantage of 1st case and utilises it for the secondary purpose.

Lets be honest here. Brahmaputra always flows over the red level 365 days,since many small channels join the river on the indian side and makeup for its actual flow. India uses its share of water from Brahmaputra. Any chinese dam at the main source will only cut water supply to the downstream countries( Bangladesh).
India is playing safe on this one. It gets its own water, but any chinese dam on this river will bring leverage to India to damn other rivers. But bangladeshis dont come to us and whine that we are stealing your water.

Even though any theft its ok as Brahmaputra flows through the region where there is heavy rains recorded in the world and lots of tribuiteries starts from the eastern states joining it before going to bay bengal sea.
