India 'deeply regrets' accidental firing of missile

.
Since they have officially claimed it to be unintentional and a malfunction, it would be foolish for us to retaliate with the same force. We would be seen as the aggressors, especially after no loss of life and insignificant damage. We need to control the narrative here. If there are questions of uncertainty and dishonesty, they should be raised diplomatically to the Indians and made answerable.

Of course if they had openly claimed it to be intentional, like Balakot, it would be an entirely different response.
We need to demand they remove the base it was fired from, and remove all infrastructure within 300 km, related to any missiles in that area, because clearly the Indians are incompetent, and had no regard for civilian air traffic as well as the fact that they could have “unintentionally” sparked a war.

Commentators from either side of the border are overestimating the competence of their militaries. The Indians made a big boo boo, and the Pakistanis, if not caught with their pants down, found their pyjama drawstrings quite loose.

India 'deeply regrets' accidental firing of missile inside Pakistan

The Indian defence ministry regretted on Friday that a missile "accidentally" entered Pakistan and fell in Khanewal district's Mian Channu area on Wednesday, attributing the incident to a "technical malfunction".

"On 9 March 2022, in the course of routine maintenance, a technical malfunction led to the accidental firing of a missile," the ministry said in a statement. "It is learnt that the missile landed in an area of Pakistan."

"The government has taken serious view and ordered a high-level court of enquiry," the statement added.

The ministry said while the incident was "deeply regrettable, it is also a matter of relief that there has been no loss of life due to the accident".

This is such a hypocrisy, you test a new strategic HGV experimental system and violate another nation's airspace on purpose and then apologize. I wish we had sent one back too.

If GOP accepts India's explanation, then the matter stands resolved.

In few days DG ISPR will be giving clarification when Safrron media will give spin to it. Recent incidents have proven that forces are led by softies more interested in their personal interests than national security. Will India spare Pak's sub if it find out it in her waters? will it spare Pak's jet in her airspace if it get lock on it? How would have India responded if Pakistan's missile "accidentally" landed in populated are of India? Of course they wouldn't have started war over it but by now Pakistan would have been proven rough state in international media.

DG ISPR should better start giving updates on DHA's new phases instead of making country looks like fool.

Why this mijjile only traveled 220 km before running out of fuel ??? Why no body asking this question

It's 290 km mijjile

It travelled 3 min 47 sec in pak air space and travelled 124 km

It travelled 3 mins in indian space so must have travelled no more than 100 km unless it de accelarated after entering Pakistan.. which is not possible ...if anything it shud have gained speed in mid flight
missile flight profile and the turn use the extra energy burn that is why it fell short of Shorkot AFB..the missile has the same fuel ...just burn more to keep the energy and speed.

what worse is we saw it coming and crashing ...with our mouths open in complete wonder!

This is inexplicable, but when you look at India's past record in all aspects, it becomes clear. Cutting corners and compromising on quality are Indian traits.

Two things.
1) Indians are getting Unprofessional and unimpressive day by day. Especially with missiles.
2) And we got their primary missile in parts to look into.

nothing much left in crash to learn about. only thing which was revealed was combat flight path profile and actual combat maneuver it can do.

that it self is treasure.

There are far too many incidents...

small thing also...i am also in doubt about the flight profile 40000ft climb LO-HI-LO profile...i think it was LO-LO-LO.

I would guess that strategic systems are preogrammed with targets in case of war (which can be of course changed before/after launch). So the path that the Brahmos followed wasn't just some random path. It was the path preprogrammed into it. Just some speculation. Maybe it really was going for Shorkot.
