India 'deeply regrets' accidental firing of missile

Any details on its tracking and interception. This may be testing waters in terms of pakistan's scan, identify and defend capability.

Majority of SAMs and ADS are deactivated during peace times to not bring done airplanes hence there was nothing to test here if that is what you are thinking. It is partially activated from command center who can fully activate it on short notice but they also must issue closure of airspace to avoid mistakes.

Example look at the recent helicopter downing of the indians today it was their own ADS because they activated just like last year or Iran downing an airplane.

They mistakenly handed to us their best missile technology without getting anything in return except that we tracked it and could have intercepted with full activation. But they handed to us a major asset in return while getting nothing of this except the fact that we have the capability of tracking and intercepting at full activation because if our systems tracked it for so long we can intercept it at full activation mode.

Radar signatures of civilian and military aircrafts differ, also no civil airplane cruises at missile speeds so I'm assuming a decent defence equipment would be keeping these things in line. I'm skeptical of indians because to me there is no other reason of sending a neutered missile in your neighborhood. Also as there is always a chance of a missile acting on tangent to it's plan, exercises usually have counter measures to control such incidents.

Beyond parody.

How do you 'accidentally' launch a cruise missile? What if it landed on a house? Or brought down a passenger jet?

No, I don't think this was India trying to 'probe' Pakistani radar. Probing opponent radar network using a live cruise missile?! That would be insane.

It is just tech at the end of the day and they can make mistakes downing airplanes and helicopters etc etc such errors can occur. India downed their own helicopter another malfunction?

Any confirmation of it being "live", I have seen post saying it's nuke but it's most probably exaggeration.

The real question here is what is India trying to achieve from this? its clear they tried not to target civilians as it would have started another standoff and a possible full blown war between the two countries.

So Basically Pakistan waited 48 hours just for India to Make a statement so that we as a country, can save our face. This is so embarrassing. First submarines intruded. probably technical problem. On feb 26, fighter jets entered 4km inside Pakistan, bombed us. Now they fired a nuclear capable missile, same technical error. What's next? This is new low. We are finally Palestine. May God save Pakistan.

Talk about overreacting

People,, no one tests the enemies AD by giving their primary missile on a platter to their enemy

No one has come out of this well

Accidents tend to happen a lot in the Indian military.

they makin a filum on this in bollywood.
Operation LolloPocho

Made in Bhindia, with a mind of its own!

The Indians accidentally or due to technological failure fired off one of their primary missiles

Without a warhead

Their self destruct failed

They risked war or retaliation

They handed over their primary missile to their enemy to look over

The Indians are RETARDED

What if Pakistan thought it was a surprise nuclear attack on Pakistan. We could have launched 1000 missiles in return. India should be sanctioned 😆

WhY India didn't shot down the missile when it knew the missile is heading towards Pakistan. It is not easy to digest the narrative of India "Wrongly fired"

India 'deeply regrets' accidental firing of missile inside Pakistan

The Indian defence ministry regretted on Friday that a missile "accidentally" entered Pakistan and fell in Khanewal district's Mian Channu area on Wednesday, attributing the incident to a "technical malfunction".

"On 9 March 2022, in the course of routine maintenance, a technical malfunction led to the accidental firing of a missile," the ministry said in a statement. "It is learnt that the missile landed in an area of Pakistan."

"The government has taken serious view and ordered a high-level court of enquiry," the statement added.

The ministry said while the incident was "deeply regrettable, it is also a matter of relief that there has been no loss of life due to the accident".
