India-China Border Face-Off Worsens As Delhi Welcomes Chinese President Xi

.
Show me proof of what happened in 1967 and 1987.

Proof?

Wikipedia?

Read post 42 .

There has only been 1 war between the Indian military and the PLA and it was in 1962.
China royally spanked the Indian military.

You mean running back from AP and capturing Aksai Chin which was not even actually held by India ...... chinese and their usual bragging .... :p:

You're thinking of a few years back in 2011-2012, when the difference was 4x.

The difference as of 2013 is now 5x.

9.2 trillion vs 1.8 trillion, is slightly over five times.

When the 2014 data comes out, no doubt the gap will increase further. We have a much larger base economy and a faster percentage growth rate too, it makes sense that the gap continue to get larger every year.

You don't need to be an elephant to kill an elephant ..... what you required is a single bullet .

India has invaded and occupied so much land from China
India still trying to occupied more land in every chance.
And you call it defense position?? Yes, defense the occupied land!
And then occupy more and defense more..

Whenever you guys have an argument with PDF members from any one of the other countries on that list, you talk about how the others aren't really threats and are actually friends of yours and will not try to take you on etc. Quite frankly, China has pissed off too many people (countries), if it throws the first stone, an alliance will form and you will be royally screwed.

You guys actually want to take on the second most powerful land army in Asia in entrenched defensive positions in mountainous territory backed up by a capable industrial base and air power? While also simultaneously warding off the best navy in Asia, the best military force in the world and numerous other capable land armies? Do you guys take after the Pakistanis in their tendency towards suicide?

Beating India is not so hard? India possesses little to no offensive capability vis a vis China until the new mountain brigades come up. But that does not mean that in any way it is not capable of a furious defense. Arunachal is essentially a fortress, the Ladakh region will be somewhat more difficult to defend.

And @Chinese-Dragon the Indian nuclear arsenal is most certainly not a total of 1MT TNT equivalent. It's been categorically stated that India has 200kT nuclear warheads. Unless you believe we only have a few of those, then you're being very foolhardy with many hundreds of millions of your countrymens lives.

And rocket artillery doesn't win you wars CD. Using rocket artillery on civilian populated cities is the kind of shit that gets your leaders in war crimes courts. The Tibetan plateau is also a disadvantage for PLAAF aircraft, lower air density = long turnaround time and MTOW.

When did India ever invade China (at least in modern times)?

The Forward Policy does not count.

I can see that 1987's skirmish is a turning point. From then on, both two parties worked together to improve their relationship continually. I think both new government are pragmatic, they all realize the importance of each other and expect to explore more cooperation. which is obviously necessary for each other. It's unwise to dwell on the past. Even one of them or both had ever made some mistakes, I think it deserves to forgive her or them if she or they admit the facts and respect to another. Given the fact that both two countries have a long and brilliant history and their people have enough wisdom, together with the fact that China has sucessfully solve land border problems with many countries, I optimistically foresee the bright future of China and India's relationship. We just need to wait until the time rinse the blood cleanly.

I suggest India should consider it as chinese invasion, declare the region to free fire zone and start carpet bombing.
give the PLA a valuable lesson!
You're dreaming! China and India, which is called "Inch" combination body by Modi, are clever enough to avoid same mistakes before. Do you miss a "carpet bombing" sir?

It's hard to see the whole truth if people always stand on his own side. I accept wikipedia's information, which many time provides me new angle of view, and I can know what people see/think form different parties . However I will never simply take them as the "truth". It's very difficult to find the truth even in today how advanced the technology is, we still have no idea of what happended to MH370. What you see in wikipedia or other articles just can tell you what the writter saw or what the writter would like to tell, it cannot be convinced to be a defenite "answer". We often read different even inverse description of a same matter, if someone collect all of the information and you read them to find the answer, can all of information be regarded as truth? It stll need us to think about it, but more ofen by guess only.

I think the truth of the conflicts between China and India are more or less hidden or distorted by their government or medias, so people we today cannot be easy to know what has been happened acutally.

That is why the mommy and daddy have to make sure the girl marry to their son had never fool around, especially with foreigners. Otherwise, if the term "once you go black, you never go back". can be change to once you go foreign, you never go back.

lol.. maybe that explains that boastful attitude of Indians on defense forum. All that big talk is to compensate for you know what.

Welcome back faithful guy..

If China wants to settle border disputes with India with results in its favours it needs to act fast IMO. India will get stronger unfortunately and it may get increasingly difficult for china to get tawang. Otherwise the status quo will remain that unjustly favours India.

Well... This is China, Modi will have to stay quite :P

He knows v well about Xi and His Army men . They can advance if indians try to push them back:moil:

When China and India can find a fair solution for border disputes, everything will become good. That does need wisdom and both two party have to compromise to each other in some areas. I think the major obstacles comes from domestic nationlism. I believe eventually the problem can be solved. China has sucessfully solved land border disputes with many countries, such as Russia, Kyrgyzstan and even Vietnam. Whatever land border problems are much easier to solve comparing to sea/iland disputes.

And I wish Pakistan and India can close their conflicts and set up a completely new, healthy relationship. SOC may provide a platform for two countries to contact and cooperate. It'll be a good start if both of them join the SOC. If so Asia can become more powerful and stand in a equal position when facing western alliance, such as NATO, FVEY.

If that has to be the case hopefully India's neighbors and internal opposition will get stronger, as the gap between India and China continues to grow. China should arm NE freedom fighters.

If India leaves the land of Sino-Tibetans, Burmese and Mon then there will be no problems.
