You guys are even in Pakistan's internal problem threads. This forum has become IDF now. I think your population has certainly exceeded more than Pakistan and China combined by now

I have been here since 2007, look at you now, you came this month in 2012.... Pakistanis have been giving the same comments since i came here. The only difference is that your country starts to rise economically and you are here to show off.

In a twisted way it helps to show that there are more poor than there actually exists, so that the politicians can pocket funds given in the name of poverty eradication and funds alloted for the betterment of the needy. A lot of vote bank politics comes into play as well.
On the other hand a lot of laborers, drivers, house staff get paid handsomely in the cities but these people classify themselves as BPL based on their rural records cos their village falls under the underdeveloped zone.

True..BPL cards are one of the most misused documents in India. Just last month G o Kerala found out that 25,000 state employees used their influence to get BPL cards and also it is in Indian character to never admit that he is well off.

Been to Kashmir many times, believe me they don't hate us, Infact I was floored by their love and hospitality for us. I and my gf met an elderly kashmiri couple in one of the houseboats and she was so taken aback with their affection for us that she called them angels on earth.

I wonder in 2030 when India is the 3rd largest economy on the planet will India still be called a "poor nation"? No one is trying to hide the issues facing India but many successful measures are being taken to eradicate poverty in India 1-2% of the population (10-20,000,000 MILLION Indians) are being pulled out of poverty EVERY year by GoI and this rate is ever increasing. Not to mention India is one of only 2 nations that will meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015 in the fight against poverty. The trajectory for India is only up and up and up!!
